Nice buck, what state?
Nice buck, what state?
Thank you!! NYNice buck, what state?
Miss that windpipe and yer bumming. However, the high neck not only saves some meat, usually drops them in their tracks and requires no bloodtrail recovery .Heart is not my favorite but I'll eat it.
Liver, bacon, shrooms & onions on the other hand is a straight up delicacy.
I'm a big fan of the high neck shot as no recoverable meat is lost.
Depends. The one you shoot best. Massachusetts has a shotgun only rule, during gun season. Growing up here, was either bow, shotgun, or blackpowder. Which means you generally have to get yourself within 30-50 yds of a whitetail, no easy feat at first.fun for the whole family
Very nice. Congratsgot this nice sow late yesterday afternoon.
she didnt stink, even when i field dressed her.
pig was living large off my corn.
When you say fifty, do you mean blackpowder or BMG?A direct hit to the heart with a .50 cal hollow point. Heart is the dark red piece blown in two. I'd of cleaned it up, but it's Coyote or bear food now. If Ida thunk it, I'd have left a camera on the gut pile. A clean shot is a clean kill, this little buck went lights out in a blink.

Are these pigs edible? I've heard in some areas it's no. And are the females better?got this nice sow late yesterday afternoon.

That's what I was going to ask, course fattened up on corn and acorns and young, I would think they'd be pretty tasty. Do you have to worry about any diseases on them? @wascaptainAre these pigs edible? I've heard in some areas it's no. And are the females better?
ThanksBlackpowder
I always thought they were simply boaring. After raising pigs I can say the boars are inedible. The meat can be tainted with hormones that taste like piss/scent.
Gotta cook the shit out of it, we often do not eat them here in NM. Farmers/Ranchers will pay you to go murder them if they are on their land.Game and fish considers them a varmint like a coyote and pigeon you don't even have to clean up the carcass. Are these pigs edible?
