"green and healthy" have you ever grown anything but Gorilla Glue #4? Most the strains in my stable all turn purple/yellow once they're ready to be harvested. I do a week flush of just plain water in coco. I think that's an oldschool concept like not plucking leaves.
Old-school bro science concept. Some plants change color but they shouldn't be yellow and deficient.

P.S. I think he's grown a couple strains lol

Dont some of you have examples of when you think they look finish? I mean pictures.
Good point, here's what I'd consider a "Finished" Mandarin Sunset to my liking. I harvest for high THC so once I see the trichome heads are milky and just a few ambers I pull the plants down.

To me these buds could be harvested depending on the trichomes. This particular strain of Gorilla Breath tends to get amber trichomes before the pistols have all even had a chance to change to an orange color.

I guess I will be the asshole again...

That plant looks like shit, take it as a learning experience. You will end up with maybe a gram of pot and if it gets you high will be determined.

Don't let that stop you from trying to do better. We all start somewhere.

Actually they look beautifull and healthy and that someone is taking care of them, of course we should strive for better but do u think a much better care would give u a more satisfying smoke? I don t think it would be such a big difference actually.

Anyone knows if its an advantage to dim down the light the last couple of weeks? I have already shortened the light schedual for lights on to 11 hours. But im in doubt if i should just give it full wattage or make it think its time for fall by reducing??

None of those are ready. How do you know they’re at peak thc? The one your holding in your hand is terribly undercooked. as for the one above that one it looks like it could go a bit longer too. For post #50 the one tiny bud looks like it’s within a week but a better over all look at the other buds help. Trichromes aren't the best to use for over all ripeness indicators either. Like you said you have some that show amber sooner. More times then not the trichromes will degrade die to exposure of a variety of factors. The best method I’ve used and tested is simply once all the “hairs” turn brown and recede in then wait two weeks Then chop like a kung fu super hero.

Also yes I’ve done more then one strain as I won’t use the gg4 example as most ppl haven’t grown real gg4. I’ve had plants that change different shades of colors that were supposed to but yellow has never been one of those desired traits.
