I’ve found if you present the choices and give them a good understanding of what doing that leads too both the good and the bad. they usually make the decisions you wanted them to make all along and when you just tell them what to do they usually do what you don’t want them to do. Damn kids. I feel bad for my dad he had it rough with me.
You are right, ask a kid to sit in a chair, chances are they're on the phone and they don't move.
Tell a kid not to touch the wall because the paint may be wet, they will really want to touch that wall.

I feel all teenagers experiment I think the debate was something on the lines if sold at stores you shouldn’t be able to be 13 and buy some weed and if I’m not mistaken the op was ok on it being available for anyone no matter age.

I think 18 maybe 21 is a good age, I don't know if weed would do a 13year old more damage than somebody of 18, but a 13-year-old girl really stoned in the wrong company is in real danger of being taken advantage of, that's where the biggest risk comes in to play and that's what the OP should be thinking about. keeps kids safe (mental damage can last a lifetime).

Cannabis use is dangerous to adolescents and can cause psychosis and developmental issues later.
I was 15 when I first got high. It caused me to arrive at some life-changing realizations about Christianity, slavery and the “Civil War”, and about US involvement in Southeast Asia…no danger, though: completed high school, went to college, taught school, had a couple careers, raised a family, wrote some books….

I was 15 when I first got stoned too, though my story lends to a cautionary tale.

I was 11, that was way too young and stupid. Based on the other kids that were with me and how life turned out for them, terrible idea. Went balls to the wall right out the gate. I turned out alright, but that was just luck or something.

16 or so seems reasonable. Not quite sure how I will approach that situation when my kid comes of age and/or shows interest. Will probably sit him down to have some drinks and do some drugs before he goes to college, I knew people that kind of screwed up at 18 as they couldn't handle that freedom of being on your own but still being responsible to get shit done.
