BBQ chicken pizza, California style with hand made BBQ sauce, red onion, smoked Gouda, mozzarella and cilantro on a NY style crust.
Plus an ode to Bridgeport Brewing, may they RIP.
That Cafe Negro was a damn good beer.

I remember sitting on the loading dock they setup tables on at the Bridgeport Brewery back in the 80's when it still had that warehouse feel and the only food they had was pizza and focaccia bread. That was when they didn't have fancy tables just some folding chairs and a few small tables just big enough to set your beer on. At that time Portland Brewery was just around the corner next to Bogarts.

Back then they only had a few beers. IPA, Coho Pacific Light Ale, Blue Heron Pale Ale, and I think they also had a Stout.

Good times.

I laugh when I read current articles about microbrew in Portland that make it seem as if the people today are some kind of pioneers. Microbrew was here long before all these uppity brewpubs showed up charging $8 for 12 oz's of some sour served in a wine glass. I used to love this place called Tugboat that was off Broadway just down from Mary's Club. They never had the same beer twice and some were not very good but occasionally they'd score a homerun.
