Seems like it. It's really a disservice to their customers. You get newer growers with the "more has to be better" mentality that end up with crispy fried plants asking what nutrient deficiency they have when they have nutrient toxicity.

I'm about to flip to flower. Been using the Jacks 321 formulae mostly with additions. I've read that I can keep using 321 ratio, but then other posts and YT videos recommend changing to Bloom, or 222 ratio, etc.. Not sure what to do. Suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

Jack's hasn't jumped on any dosage bandwagon. The instructions for full-strength ~ 3.6/2.4/1.1 g/gal has been the same for at least ten years, likely much longer.

Its plant and feed dependent. Here is a photo of my grow. At week 4 of flower I went to 2.4 and I kept it there until week 6 or 7, and while the buds got pretty respectable in size, you can tell they are burnt to shit. I think if I had, say, a scorpion Diablo and CO2 suplementation, 2.4 EC might have worked, but as is I think I jumped the shark by at least .6 EC. Its also a bit strain dependent, so unless you are trying to experiment with a strain over multiple runs to perfect it, its going to be a bit of a guessing game.

Don't do 2-2-2, that doesn't sound necessary. The 1 at the end is just magnesium, some people get away with just using Jack's A/B, but 321 does well with LEDs-I need the extra mag anyway. Using that 321 ratio you need to find the right EC for your plants. I rarely flower higher than 1.2 and I've been much happier with the quality of the flower at lower ECs, but each person's setup is different and some people do like higher ECs.

When I run salts and soilless it’s jacks or masterblend. Soil it’s just basic organic dry amendments and teas. Gonna give hempie buckets and coco a shot when I reset in a few months so it’ll be jacks.

I emailed them about this after buying 25 lbs bags of A+B, asking if they have any thoughts on using lower EC with different styles of hydro.

I listened to a podcast with Jack's reps talking about the bloom formula, and I think it might be worth using. I like how they say to cut out the 321 for a couple of weeks while you use it, so it's not adding a bunch of PK on top of the base nutrients.

Dropping all all calcium for the first few weeks of flower seems odd but I haven't tried it yet.

Wow, looks fantastic (despite the burns).
I see that your medium setup is similar to what I did a few years ago but failed due to spider mites. I used a fabric batting instead of coco mats. I'm about to try again with a couple of plants, and want to ask you:
Did you stay at the 321 ratio throughout flower?
Are they in 4 inch or 6 inch cubes?
In your flood and drain, how high do you flood to? Eg., top of the cube/half way up, etc..
How long do they stay flooded before draining?
DTW or recirculating?
Anything I should watch out for? Any tips or tricks?
Srry for all the Q's. I'm excited that someone succeeded in a system I'm about to try again after failing before.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I have nothing against the company. Hopefully more people will use their products for cannabis and move away from the overpriced cartoon labeled nonsense. At least with Jacks they are not playing stupid games and making ridiculous claims. Plus they are very open about the ingredients in their products so you know exactly what you're using.

I still would just use the 5-12-26 and calnit myself.

I just fed with bloom formulae. yes, it's strange, no calcium. I wonder if that was a practical decision, since the goal was to make a 1 part bloom booster formulae, and they didn't want to risk precipitation...I'll check out that podcast. Thanks!

...of course, I can be wrong. I feel like something has changed. I recall Gene Green's YT video breaking down the elements, and the ppm coming out to be around 800 with the 321 ratio...maybe he was wrong? lol I don't know...

This ratio works for the entire grow, just provide the right PPM for each stage.

I'm almost certain this is the case. Calcium is one of the most important nutrients for a flowering cannabis plant. This product seems more about selling bags than selling a product that works better in this situation than A/B. This new cannabis lineup is just Jack's powdered take on selling a 12 different liquid nute bottles.

That's a bit of hyperbole.
They've introduced a couple of one-part dry nutes (tap and ro).
They don't sell any enhancers, exploders, etc,. nor make any dubious claims.

I use 4 inch cubes I believe, ill double check that when I get home from work. I used bloom the first 2 weeks of flower, but I wasn't using anything to keep the water sterile and I had my LEDs running 100%, so i got root rot fairly quickly and had to battle that off with h202 before using pool shock for a more long term (cheaper) sterile solution.

After that, I worked my way up to 2.4 rather quickly (another mistake) from 1.2. I time how long it took for the water to reach the drain, with only 1 spacer, and it was just about 1 minutes and 40 seconds, so I set my timer to 2 minutes. This brought the water just barely to the top of the coco mat, which let the rockwool take in some water, but not enough to soak the cube. This allowed the roots to breathe. I flooded 3 times a day, once an hour after lights on (contemplating 2 next grow), once mid day, and once an hour before lights off. I used a 17 gallon res, changed, scrubbed with white vinegar, and rinsed with RO, once a week. When I realized 2.4 was to high, I mixed the 3.6, 2.4, 1 solution at 13 gallons and diluted it to my preferred EC.
