Running 2 - 4x4 tents with 2 SF 4000s, 4 fans, one inline fan. My power bill has gone up $100 a month in electricity charges - was hoping it wouldn't be that high, but that's what it is.
Though maybe this would help someone estimate their costs - I know I was looking for this info myself.

you can estimate the running cost of any setup.
say my kWh cost 0.17.4p = pricePerKWh
how many hours a day do you run the device = hours
how much electricity the device uses per hour = powerUsed
how many days you be using it = days

hps 600w uses 670w, (pricePerKWh) x (powerUsed) x (hours) x (days)
.................................................0.17.4 x 0.670 x 12 x 60 = £82 per crop

add up every device fans, filter lights, etc and you have your running cost.

Our average in hawaii is like $0.43/kwh. My monthly bill is like $200 and I dont even grow indoor or have AC.

Was in a 4x8 w 1300 watts led -actual draw from wall-
Ac/dehumidifier and fans.

Power bill went up $500 for the year.
Not bad.

They have two types of meters - one is a straight meter- same charge day or night. Other is day/night of peak/offpeak meter with variable charges.

This is for last month, roughly $465.
Of that, approximately 25% is personal use[Cooking, laundry, shower, slate tablet, light]. The remaining 75% is:

1- SF4000
1- XS1500
1- XS1000
1- 65W LED
1- ACInfinity #6
1- ACInfinity #4
1- Vivosun #4
5- 6" desk fans
1- 20" box fan
5-6 household LEDs that burn 24/7

With no grow, just personal use I go from just under 100 in the spring to just under 200 during the summer, winter is usually somewhere in between.

Here in Southern Alberta I pay $0.0669/ kWh.

My entire energy charge for December was $42, whole house included with 638 kWh.

That's a 300 watt TSW2000 (12/12), a 150 watt TSW1000 (18/6), an AC Infinity T4 on setting of 8 (24), three 8 inch clip on fans on high (24), one 20 inch oscillating fan (24).

Checking my smart plugs, the grow room used 193.45 kWh so that's $12.94 cost for a month.

wow thats crazy i had no idea it costs so much around the world seeing what you and everyone else is quoting. Fees add another $80/month regardless of usage = I have to pay that much just have connection. you have that too?

Yes, that, too (€10/month).

I'm with an eco-friendly tree-hugger company for electricity, you can get it a little cheaper from big corps, but not much.

There is nothing cheap about growing your own. I pay more to grow my vegetables than i could buy them for.

Growing vegetables under artificial light is a BAD deal for the environment. Even shipping in off-season produce from across the globe is way, way better than growing them indoors.
