So that's what I always kind of believed rks was. I grew a cut of sk#1 that was purchased from the seedbank around 88. It was a total crippler. At 60 days of flower it had a champagney sweet and slight skunk smell. Let it go 70 or 75 and it would get way skunkier. But it still isn't what I'd call rks. I'd bet that rks is more of a sk#1 backcrossed to an afghani with the ammonia/ burnt rubber smells. Todd mccormick has a Sk#1 that looks good. It's supposed to be more skunky with less fruity smell. Wappa from paradise seeds has a nice skunky funk but it is also gassy and fruity. Great plant though. I'll definitely grow it again.Someone on another forum described their rks to Neville and he said it sounded like super skunk.

I grew about 8 females of Todd's skunk at the beginning of 2021, they had that classic skunk look but not the smell. The freebies I got from Nirvana about 20 years ago were more skunky then the ones I got from Todd. His Northern Lights though are some of the most fragrant Northern Lights I've ever had in veg.plenty of people will say that todd mc stuff isnt where its at
Yeah . The problem i'm having since I've been back in the game is. I'm still trying to figure this out, the smell like the GG#4 I did few years ago . Pull up in my yard in front of house smells skunky , harvest cure it poopy ;looking weed , smoke it not like it smells at all . uhggg ..lol. I get confused because people talk about stuff smelling skunky but it has to come out in the taste ? I wonder if it has to smell like skunk(y) to smoke skunky . Yet I've smelt plenty of skunky stuff and it nevert taste like it smells, its horrible . I miss the 80s . so much .So that's what I always kind of believed rks was. Dogwalker OG ? thanksMy Dogwalker is as close as I have tried to find some skunks a few years ago from Dominion but mostly sweet. My buddy brought back from Sensi Amsterdam 1993 Skunk 1, Maple leaf, Northern lights 5 and Jack Herer I believe they were all cup winners at the time very expensive like 400$ a pack of 6 or something like that they were all fire the maple leaf reminded me of the original cherry pie strains the Jack was for sure Jack and the NL5 was a little boring, but the Skunk 1 was for sure Road Kill you could not hide this shit anywhere no even a single bud walk in a room the whole room smelled the bag If you grew it the whole town knew. Skunk bud is all we had up until 1992 then the bud started to change, they were pretty boring except a few the red the garlic and the roadkill. The Red was the best the garlic was heavy hitter, and the roadkill was killer nose but a little lackluster on the smoke.
I got my Dogwalker came from wonderland nursery a few years ago and it's about as old school as I could find. The high is the best clean, happy, and skunky. Taste like old school pine chem shunk very heavy smoke but clean high. Growing Dogwalker is a challenge it's hard to clone likes pm and bud rot but if you run it in cold nights and low humidity you will have some of the best weed. Once someone smokes it their hooked.Dogwalker OG ? thanks
We used to get catpiss and skunk spray phenos in higher quality bricks thru '80s to 90's.Used to get stuff back in the 90s that was basically brick and looked like shit. We thought they sprayed it with ammonia until a guy who ran really big loads told us nah that’s actually the plant. For real? Yep.
I’ve had skunk too but this was just straight cat piss. Mostly brown and untrimmed. Compressed to fit in a tire or gas tank, seeds, big ass bugs in it too. But damn it would kick. No ceiling, no tolerance, practically trippin bud. Actually used to think something must be wrong with it.
When I got back to growing I went for the closest thing I could find to a diesel and grabbed Useful’s Chem 91 skva X Chocolate D.
I don’t know if he’s still making them but there is cat piss and fire in those beans.
Just started working my way through Tony Green’s GG RIL and the smells in veg are sour and promising though maybe not skunk or cat piss.
just another one that smells like rks to some but isn’t to others..Sterling Green is the new find, supposedly
