Kids are really fun to make, but then there's the expenses, and they don't end at 18 either. LolYeah that would be a lot of fun doing that for sure. The fish and crayfish is a bit out of my abilities for a while lol but the aquaponics for lettuce, kale, celery and such is what we are wanting to do. I had my wife find some good heir loom seed companies to get the fruits and vegetable seeds from. My house is full of girls that eat tons of strawberries, oranges, avocados, and all the expensive produce items lol. I already have my lemon tree going. Working on the rest but need more room first!!
Some years back I saw a video on YouTube of an old woman in Thailand who grows strawberries and she harvested her own seeds by using a knife to shave off the outer layer where all the seeds are. Allows them to dry and the seeds just drop right off. 1 berry turns into a large patch, and strawberries are unique in that they produce runners and spread almost like creeping Charlie.
There's times I wish I lived somewhere tropical because of all the shit I can grow. Fig trees, citrus, avocado, ect... all pricey in the grocery store. Dragon fruit is a big one here in my house and sadly it's so damn expensive.
Are you going to rely solely on natural sunlight or implement artificial when the days grow shorter?
