Neil Young is threatening to pull his music from Spotify over concerns that the company’s exclusive deal with podcaster Joe Rogan is helping fuel the anti-vaccine movement.

“I want you to let Spotify know immediately TODAY that I want all my music off their platform. They can have Rogan or Young. Not both,” Young wrote in a since-deleted open letter viewed by Rolling Stone.

“… JRE, which is hosted exclusively on Spotify, is the world’s largest podcast and has tremendous influence. Spotify has a responsibility to mitigate the spread of misinformation on its platform, though the company presently has no misinformation policy.”

I don't know what that has to do with anything. Its his music and using it to say "fuck you" to Trumpers sends a message. Some like it, some don't. Neil is saying "fuck you" to them too. Just like Kaepernick did.

Young talked about stuff in the 60's such as conservation which is proven to be more relevant today than then
He was really one of the 1st musicians to bring protest music mainstream, pointing out some of a few things wrong with the US, like it's inherent racism & war mongering.

I don't know, they also fought to cancel things like dumping chemicals in our water, lead in pipes, asbestos in our homes and businesses, leaded gasoline that polluted the shit out of our lands next to roads, racist laws keeping minorities from being able to vote, on and on.

I really don't see the new millennium version of toxic waste that the militarized paid trolls spreading lies that keep people angry, depressed, and very very unsafe is any different.

I do find it funny how much the hate mongers pushing the lies are so up in arms about 'cancel culture' though.
