Beautiful plant….and not close to ripe. I’m growing 3 autos, also from a reputable breeder. They actually said 9-10 weeks seed to harvest….they sprouted Oct 13 and are still not ripe. Don’t ask me why…..all of my experience is outdoors. Growing inside under LEDs is something I just started. But I do know how buds develop and and have watched my fair share go from start to finish.
Often times buds will put out another wave of pistils….and this is a good thing. Your calyces will swell and if you have the patience to wait, your buds will be that much thicker, denser and heavier.
My plants are still growing. They’ve had mostly milky trichs for nearly 3 weeks but no ambers, except a few on the sugar leaves but they don’t count.
They are also not on the same schedule. One is very close and may get chopped this weekend. All the white hairs have turned orange and receded as of yesterday. I’ve spotted a few ambers and will wait on maybe 20-25%.
The other 2 plants are a week or two behind. But rest assured, they are ripe until those white pistils have receded and turned orange/brown.
i was just having this conversation with another guy whose plants are at the same stage.
I’ll post a pic to illustrate what I’m talking about. First pic is Jan 14, second one is from this morning. Zoom in and look at the white hairs in the first pic….then look at the same spot in the 2nd pic. That’s what u want if you truly want next level ripe buds.
Most grows are ended way too early and those growers don’t really know what ripe bud looks or tastes like. U could chop today and you’d have some pretty buds that would smoke ok if you cured them properly. But they would be light yrs better if you let them get really ripe.
Good luck.
