Leaf yellowing all grow-How to taper down ??

Hello friends,

Question is- how would you taper down on nutrients in the last 3 weeks if you have had yellowing of leaves all grow?

Details of grow- Week 6 since switch, week 5ish of Flower. Figure I got at least 3 more weeks minimum. I have had yellowing all grow- manly linked to overwatering and then, under watering. Also, began using Nutrients somewhat late in grow. One plant is almost dead...couple lessons learned there. Defoliated on Day 2 of Flower and it never recovered. I also had my lights wayyy too Far away during Flower. (315w CMH/LEC). It wasn't until week 3 of Flower that I got a LUX meter and corrected the distance which resulted in an immediate darkening of leaves. Given the Light situation alongside the early Watering problems and about 3-5 more feedings, how should I taper down? Top priority is clean smoke.

How do you taper down when you have yellowing all grow? Temps are 63F - 75F and 35 - 55%. 5gal pots, feeding 2 Gals per pot. 315w LEC.47th day since Switch.

Here's a couple pics from a few days ago.

you have a lot to go still so dont taper down or anything i grow organic so i dont taper down and the smoke is always clean and pleasant
if you dont overfeed and cause toxicity through the grow your smoke should be clean anyway dont worry about it and keep feeding a balanced diet increasing the K slowly each week

what are you feeding your plants and what is your plan for tapering down?

Some yellowing is normal, I expected to see a N deficiency but way too much green for that. At this point I would let it ride, but like the previous poster said boost them with some K. I add 5ml per gal of Roots Organic HPK on top of my normal feed starting around week 4. My last couple watering are usually just HPK @ 7.5ml, but I don’t taper down, I just make my last 2 feeding straight HPK,

There is a lot of Lime green on my plants. Pics make it look mote green than it is.

Im using DYNAGRO BLOOM and add Potassium Bicarbonate. The K I add is unscientific. Just dump a 1/4 tsp in with 7-8ml of DYNAGRO. Week 6 feeding chart recommends 10ml.

On weeks 7 and 8 was gonna feed 4ml each week. And then try a flush.

Id rather not flush my plants if possible. But will do whatever i have to for clean smoke.

7.5ml of HPK- are you using that in 5gal pots?

I am flowering under a HPS 600w bulb in a 2x4x5ft. box and also pulling another 330 watts from a pair of LED quantum boards in another 2x4x5ft. box.

My HPS bulb is about 16 inches above the canopy and the Quantum Boards (LEDs) are about a foot above the canopy in these photos.

I have been using the PAR meter shown for PAR values (PPFD).

On day 10 (of the 12&12 cycle) I am cutting down on Gen. Hydroponics Micro from 5mls to 2.5mls every watering along with 5mls of Gen. Hydro Flora Bloom.
I have been using fish emulsion (5-1-1) in a foliar spray (2.5mls per quart of H20) to help keep leaf yellowing down about every 3rd day for the past 2 weeks. They are really "sucking up" the nitrogen at this stage.

But now I will cut back on the nitrogen via the micro bloom dose. No more fish spray either. And let the leaves start to yellow.

So from here on out till harvest- yellow leaves wont bother me much and I will keep the 2.5mls per gal of micro grow along with 5mls of florabloom until about a week before harvest. Then I only use plain tap water until a couple days before harvest when I cut off their water............

I guess you can call that "tapering off"................. especially on the nitrogen which I think can add a taste to the buds if it is too much.........

That is how I have been doing it for a few grows now but I sure am not saying that it is gospel.

Best regards..............................Screenshot_20220211-152528_Chrome.jpg
