so id like to make 3 diffrent seed starting mix to test out.. for cannabis seeds, clones, vegetable & herb seeds.

for the first one im thinking of a 3-1-1
peat moss, ewc and vermiculite for the first mix

2nd mix will be coco coir instead of peat moss also a 3-1-1

any one have any ratios they can suggest using the same ingredients for the 3rd mix?

4th mix id like to do a soil-less seed starting mix , so I can use chem notes, what ratio would you suggest only using peat moss or coco & vermiculite?also should I use The worm castings ? or is it not needed when using chem nutes?

for mixes 2-3 I will amend with .. or great white
dr.earth fertilizer 2-2-2 azomite
great white. fish Fert 5-1-1 1x2weks
azomite & instead drop the dr.fertilizer till planted outdoors
Alaska 5-1-1 fish Fert 1x2weeks

My experience with soil is that it is hard to have too much aeration. I would bump the ratio of aeration up a lot. Too little is a big problem, too much doesn't happen but would be a small problem. (Watering more often)

Also that much peat will be acidic. Although the ewc will be nice and neutral the peat will pull down the ph a lot.

I think you're over complicating things. Why not just get a decent soil for the organic pots and coco for the salts?

Anyways, I'd use perlite over vermiculite, but pumice or lava rock is even better. Vermiculite holds water too, so I'd be worried your soil would hold too much water.

If you want to experiment I'd just start smaller at first. And I'd probably do more like 30-30-30-10 (peat or coco-decent compost-perlite or pumice-EWC) for the organic mixes. Then plain coco for the salts. But that's me.

No...I would balance it with a better mix ratio. Peat is acidic, ewc is neutral. 1 - 1 - 1(up to 2) is a better starting point and will be fine imo. Ewc is amazing, but incredibly dense and needs a lot of aeration. I also agree with PW that perlite, or a combo of perlite and vermiculite will be superior to just v.
