They’re NATO airframes. Ukrainians have no time in type. Learning how to fight a specific type of plane takes hundreds of flight hours. You can’t bounce from a MiG into a Tornado. The controls are different in layout and behavior

There is also the political problem of keeping NATO from getting mired in the conflict. This is why I think the Pentagon pushed back with the word untenable, which is strong language from our military leaders.

This sort of leaves the idea parked behind the 8-ball.

Usually what gets a member ignored is either being abrasive/abusive or pushing counterrepublican (small r, republican and Republican are de facto antonyms) lies. You’ve scored high on both scales.

also Poland would rather the US give the planes to Ukraine rather than upset Russia themselves.
I don't think anyone took the offer seriously, Ukraine probably has no pilots to fly them.

Would of been a good swap for Poland though. Some brand new planes for some old ones.

How many worlds economics are there, Ca? Do you teach them all? I've always been interested in Ganymede economics. Does cancelling an oil pipeline that is not due to come on line for an undetermined amount of time cause the price of oil to go up there, nearly a year of it was cancelled, too? The US said the trade was for used US plains with the same capabilities, they aren't trading a Hugo for a Bentley.

The reason for the Polish planes was Ukrainians know how to fly them- there's no time for instruction.

There are still plenty of pilots to fly the planes. Right now there is no air war to speak of because of ground to air defenses.

And we were going to give them older F16's was my understanding.

takes awhile to be trained up on flying a different plane.

Whatever happened to the MOD option of letting ya see the posts, reply to the posts but all that is happening is you are talking to yourself without knowing it. No one but the MODS and Member can see those posts.
That was my favorite when I was a MOD.
They had no clue except they were warned yet kept on being a smart ass.

I remember their "How come no one is talking to me post."
