The fuzziness is the point. This is a right wing state sponsored propaganda bill used to 'own the libs'.That's a tough call because the bill says there cant be any classroom instruction on sexual orientation. I take that to mean the teacher can't create a lesson plan on the subject but the bill isn't specific enough to cover the scenarios where curious kids are just asking questions.
It bans talking about sex and sexual preferences. Whats so hard to comprehend? Why get offended and say ohh they cant say gay when in reality its much more than that. Its about not talking about sex because thats a parents job and those kids are young as hell at that age and its inappropriate for a teacher to be talking to kids that young about sex period. No we haven't all seen whatever videos you're referring to. Please post a link. Anti-sexualization? What do you mean by that? What do you see happening that "sexualizes" lessons? What lesson is being learned when kids understand they aren't allowed to speak about being gay? What lesson is taught to the child that tells his/her teacher they feel different and then that child is "reported" to the parent?

Grade two here. It was my eighth BD in mid June, near the end of the school year. She wore a full length red dress that day. We picked wild strawberries together after school. Then came home where I made whipped cream with a hand mixer, sugar and Mexican vanilla. What a great treat and memorable day. She moved during the summer and wasn't in my class in grade three. And 'kindergarten is too young' is bullshit, I know I was attracted to girls back then.
Don't gaslight us. We see you. This isn't about sex education in the second grade. Second grade teachers weren't teaching sex ed.It bans talking about sex and sexual preferences. So no links to the videos we’ve all seen? I’m curious as I don’t think I’ve seen them either. You are right but it's not really about that. It's about making LGBTQ community and public education out to be monsters who are turning children away from right wing Christianity. It's about hate mongering.OK so look. . .i agree that sexuality is a very fine line of discussion as it pertains to children, even moreso if it's coming out of the mouths of non-parental figures like teachers, or your creepy uncle with the weird toupee; everyone knows that shit's fake, man, cmon
HOWEVER. . ...outright banning the discussion of something, or the saying of a word, is a waste of the judicial system's resources and time as it pertains to education. I mean for fuck's sake, can all you cucky white mostly fat Southern states just get on the 2022 wagon already?? Teach the gawddamn curriculum.
OF COURSE you shouldn't talk to kindergartners about "gay", but, if it's brought up that shit should be handled firstly at home, and/or secondly at the professional discretion of the teacher, who IMO should still defer to the parent(s). *edit: in the case of potentially recognized abuse, that should of course be reported & the systems in place for that could stand to be strengthened as well.
Well saidYou are right but it's not really about that. It's about making LGBTQ community and public education out to be monsters who are turning children away from right wing Christianity. It's about hate mongering.
Agree the whole thing is a waste. Teachers are well educated and for the most part concerned about the well being of kids. In addition to being a fascist attack on a minority group, it forces teachers to obey authority rather than do the job of teaching kids to the teacher's best ability.
Then jerks like @GOT420 show up to tell the same lies here that anybody who wants to hear them can get from right wing radio.
What if a kid ask if they are married? Would not their marital status be a discussion about sex?It bans talking about sex and sexual preferences. Whats so hard to comprehend? Marriage is between a man and a woman. That other stuff is sin, sin, and also sin. Any other questions? What if a kid ask if they are married? Would not their marital status be a discussion about sex?
I have a cousin who taught 3rd grade for 25 odd years. She says she could pick out the gay kids that come through her class.Grade two here. Twenty plus years later, I went into a variety store to get some dill pickle chips (munchies) and there she was, bespectacled, cross-eyed and beautiful just like I'd remembered. "You're Dawn Jackson, right?" Yes, she replied. I reminisced about grade two. She blushed.
So, yeah, I too knew I liked girls early on. Can't imagine others being any different, that they wouldn't know who they're attracted to at a young age.
And then how often they're outed as PEDOPHILES..my Google search says:It is also just plain creepy how fixated they are on child sexuality period.
I do wonder at her batting average.I have a cousin who taught 3rd grade for 25 odd years. She says she could pick out the gay kids that come through her class.
I don't know that. She is the only one of her siblings not to have a total redhat world view. But she is still a persona non grata due to other family matters. (I traded 10 acres of land with Sister so I wouldn't have them for neighbors)I do wonder at her batting average.
They don't. This is an own the libs distraction for 2022 running up to 2024.It bans talking about sex and sexual preferences. Whats so hard to comprehend? Which indicates their displeasure at his governance. They don't. This is an own the libs distraction for 2022 running up to 2024.
The GOP must constantly distract against Biden.
