Is the Catpiss strain still around?

I've heard nyc piff was a similar lineage to catpiss ssh x columbian sativa, very similar to catpiss in aroma too. Not really sure about that piff lineage though. I don't think anybody is.. I'd pay a $1000 for a clone of it..

I'm almost 12wks flower on some "piffs2" (a5haze). There is catpiss but the soapiness overpowers it. I get piss the first nano-sec of a rub. Then it turns to soap n liver and thats all i smell for awhile.
Nevil said if catpiss turns up in more than 25% of offspring then its inbred.
IDFK why but maybe thats his skunk n haze experience.
Runtz x Obama isn't inbred but almost every pheno had some level of batpiss.

NYC used to have some fire catpiss haze floating around in the same era 90s, early 2000s. Heard stories way back about in particular Queens, NY being big players, I remember it quite well. Funny I was just talking to a buddy of mine about missing it. Maybe ill do an outdoor this year

Cos its the haze influence when it's super inbred haze produces more catpiss phenos thats what nevil said on mr nice forums about it years ago but its still not the only genetics that produce this kinda profile imo

Since we're on the subject of Nev... Heres my favorite quote of his.
Leads me to believe that the AGseeds must've come from the later gens Nev didn't like. Because AG's original haze came from the last of the last shucked crop "sam" aquired. Logically the best females would be shucked first right?

Of all the oldies that might make a comeback i doubt catpiss will be one of em. All the pissy stuff I've come across over the years was a pain in the ass to move lol. I'm a fan myself but most people just think it's gross. I kinda wonder sometimes if someone were to find the mythical skunk would the general public even want it. Sure we geek out on this shit all day long but the customer's always right and alot of these old unicorns would probably only sell in a niche market

Look at NYC Piff as an example.....YES its back....but the general public isnt trying to smoke it....they dont know what it is....and sativas in general arent what the average person wants.....

Is 707 seeds catpiss legit?? I believe it goes for $200/pack and havent heard anyone say its not legit

I have deep connections including Dominicans from Washington Heights who've been in the game forever, always had the fire piff for 30 a gram no discount. You just can't find it anymore.. I live in jersey and its available to me DAILY. Ive been smoking and buying it for about a year now. Its DEFINITELY back. However, before there were like 5+ phenos of it floating around....ive only seen 1 pheno of Piff in the last year.

Maybe ppl just dont know its around, but it definitely is.

I didnt ask who you know. I know ppl too. I sold the shit for 5 years, I also didnt believe it was back UNTIL I tried it myself. As soon as I smelt it and lit some up - it brought me back in time - but it also was confirmed its back.

I agree it won't be easy to push on a custie. But who gives a fuck about them. All my old custies turned to pills 10yrs ago. They only want to pay for herb when the losers run outta pharmaceuticals.
I grow for my own nowdays.
But i recently gave my mom a nug of piss that didn't impress her until she smelled the 2nd hand smoke of my sesh.
I think if a custie smells the burnt incense they'd be more interested in piss than when its unburnt in a store.

I was googling soapy strains and there is so many posts of recreational custies that believe soapy terps is chemical contamination, unflushed, laced .....haha they go on & on

Dude youre right on with the custies....this one dude who has never grown, I got him into weed like 10-15 years ago....he was trying to convince me that no weed has natural fruity or cake terps or anything that ppl add the flavor LOL.

Sensis jack herer used to have a killer pheno that had like a tiny bit citrus almost but not more sandalwoody hazy with a soapy finish if you can get older seeds of that it be a great place to start if thats your thing lol

You need to hit the heights brotha!! 207 and vermilyea, Thayer st between Sherman and nagle, 204 and post… many blocks!! The haze is hit or miss some days there’s a fire batch other days there’s trash but it’s back and here to stay… shit never left really, just gotta know where to look!!

As far as the catpiss!!!

I ran the NorCal catpiss clone from @shabud as well as the socal catpiss clone from @archive. Neither to me were thecatpiss from the east coast. I don’t have experience with Cali catpiss though so it’s possible one of those were the Cali ones people look for. If you’re on the east though and catpiss is what you remember then it was most definitely a haze, similar to the Cuban black but smelling like ammonia litter box haven’t changed the litter in 3 weeks. I got a catpiss clone from a Dominican who’s had it since the 90s, first run of it now about day 50. Smellsjust starting to come in and itsmells right!!! I’m excited

OK guys Im firing this old thread back up. I'm a very active member over on THCFarmer and during a google search it lead me to this thread. I haven't used my rollitup in a long time but Im back in the mix now. I want to talk to you guys about Catpiss. I live in southern CA and I started smoking herb in the late 90s. When I was in college around 2005 I came across an INSANE strain that I grew out. It was the old school SoCal Catpiss its the Train-wreck/Skunk Catpiss. OMG it was dream herb I am a pro grower now thousands of plants come and gone now and NOTHING that I have come across is even close. It does NOT exist here anymore. I cant find it anywhere all the modern Train-wrecks suck in comparison. This was trainwreck and old school 80s skunk crossed and it was a maniac. Super heavy skunk, black pepper, citrus pine-sol, then a heavy smack of nasty ammonia/Rubbing Alcohol on the end. It was loud and boarder-line offensive. It had Ester Alcohol's in it that made the flowers really greasy and sticky when you picked them apart. This is link to other thread...

If anyone on here has access to this cut or even something close please let me know. Basically Im searching for anything that is heavily ammoniated with that rubbing alcohol burn. The skunkier the better the one we had reeked to high hell probably the closest thing to RKS that I can personally attest that I have smoked. If someone can provide me with a real cut of the SoCal Skunky Train-wreck catpiss or anything that can rival it I will pay you $1000 without hesitation. Its gotta be legit though no BS. I got other fantastic strains that I can trade too. I got the old school chronic JR breeders cut of the SSH Catpiss BX3. I picked up the cut in person from JR down in SD its not even a seed pop its legit. Has ammonia and is bucket list herb but Im looking for that skunk cross too! Whatever's clever guys lets make a deal please point me in the right direction. I need that "Sting" on the nose and the modern shit just don't have that funk anymore. Thanks guys!

I grew out TW bagseeds that went down that path almost 20yrs ago. But never saw a cut of e32 like you described.

Post some pics of that bx3 in the meantime. Assuming it's the same cut that made old-school chronics beans.
I'm curious what the initial outcross was in that bx3.
Their sites bud pics look like shit and that's really why I haven't tried it.

To me catpiss is much more than ammonia. Plenty of weed has ammonia like terps but good catpiss smells like heavy Uric Acid with ammonia only being a minor note.

Thanks for commenting I appreciate it! Yeah the pics on JRs website are not always completed buds so we are seeing early bud shots and things like that. I understand that its definitely isn't not the beautiful designer flower shots that most of us are accustomed to now so I agree with you there. However I follow him on instagram and see his finished flower posts all the time and I will say that ALL his shit I have seen so far looks flame. This is a pic from his instagram of the SSH Catpiss BX3 his instagram is private so I had to snap a screenshot...



I have not ran this yet I just picked up the cuts of the BX2 and BX3 about a month ago. I will say that they are doing stellar on my outdoor patio in the natural SoCal sun they have a different shade of green than the OGs that Im always running a bit lighter in color but the water leaves in veg already are starting to sparkle. I agree with you about the Uric Acid smell. Im pretty sure my old TW had that vibe. It was a very acrid smell so I think it was similar to what you are describing. Not just ammonia but a foul vibe too.
