Yeah... that's high RH man. Are you running any dehuyes?
Nope. May have to if it doesn’t improve. It’s just not warm enough for my AC to kick on in the house yet.

I’m running a heater in the basement and a small one in the tent. This has been a battle.

i can get it into the high 50’s but that’s about it.

Is there a way to maybe vent out of your basement, and draw the house air in there via an active exhaust?

Yes the issue is the house is staying around 60% because it’s 85% humidity right now outside. :hump: Midwest living
Ahh.. I see. Well, in Oklahoma my house RH is like 35%. You may have to pony up for a dehuey. Im sure you are aware of the risks of finishing with that high of RH. Might be worth the money and all you're hard work.

Yeah @bk78 has already suggested it. I’m just trying to be cheap and get by without one.

What size dehumidifier would you suggest for a 4x4? I’m never flowering during spring again. Once my AC kicks on for the season the humidity is lower.

Really depends on alot of things. You can try to dehumidify your tent, or the whole basement. Dehueys make alot of heat unfortunately ... this can be good and bad depending on your situation, grow setup. If you ditch your heaters, and replace with a 4000 sqft dehuey, that might work for you.

Just make sure to point the exhaust of the dehuey at a wall of the tent to diffuse it so to speak along with your fans. If it gets too hot, or drops your RH too much, you can always open up a port in your tent to partially let some of the heat out.. You may have to just play with it and dial it in.

Without a heater it stays under 76 with both lights on. So I need all the heat I can get.

Well, a small dehuey will def do that for ya!.. That hot air coming from the exhaust is the "dry air".. so keep as much as needed as possible. Some people mistakenly vent that hot air thinking that it's a by product of dehumidification, but that hot air IS the dehumidified air.

How often would it fill up if you didn’t drain it? How low does it keep your humidity?
never tried it without the drain. the res is pretty small though. daily would be a guess?

i suck in outside air too which is low RH as shit here normally. i would say it drops it 10% maybe 15%
