What can be accomplished with a 3x3?

Also any suggestions on the light needed for a 3x3... like a brand & model suggestion. I've tried researching lights & it's just too complicated for me to wrap my head around.

Absolutely, you be able to grow 3 or 4 plants easily in that space. 3 will fill it well, 4 can/will probably pack it wall to wall.

Mars Hydro TSW 2000 is great for that space. The FC 3000 will have better spread and less of a middle hot-spot, but the TSW is heavily discounted right now. Just buy direct from Mars, don't mess w/ amazon.

I just pulled almost 20 ounces out of a space that is 3.5 x 3.5, so I guess it depends on your daily usage requirements, your growing ability, the yield potential of the strain/s you choose, and the amount of light you provide.

Awesome, question... for a 3x3 tent, how much actual space do you need, when you add in ducting/power strips etc.

Any photos of your setup would be helpful! I'm about to start ordering stuff

3 words: oscillating tower fan

And hang your ducting/filter/exhaust fan from the ceiling.

You can pull a decent amount out a 3x3, one of those times where the “about a pound” meme is legit applicable. 300w led or 400hps, 315cmh is also an option. 4-6in exhaust fan I wouldn’t worry about ducting or anything like that tbh just the foot or so between the filter(if you’re running one and the fan)

So everything can be hung inside the tent basically?

In that case should I shell out the extra $150 for a Gorilla brand tent to get an extra 1ft of height? Most tents are 3x3x6 but i think gorillas are 3x3x7
I have a 2x2.5' gorilla and an ac infinity 3x3. They are both the same height.
The gorilla does have an extension kit available though.

The gorilla is well built, but the ac isnt much different.

I've decided to just use my own bedroom & all I can fit is a single 3x3.

Is a single 3x3 tent enough space from which to keep 1 person medicated year-round?
If all you have is a single grow spot I'd consider growing autos. Start a fem seed every month and just keep your light on 18/6 or even 24/0 if that helps keep the temps in the tent steady.

They grow smaller and in something like 2gal pots wouldn't likely get more than 2ft tall. Once your first plant reaches harvest in 3 - 4 months you'd have another to harvest every month so a perpetual grow scenario. In Canada with the 4 plant limit it would stay legal too.

You don't need a fancy light either. I bet my little COB LED would do a fair job and they are barely over $100 on amazon and mine pulls 200w from the wall. I'm using it in a VivoSun 2x4x5'h tent for veg and clones and wish I had a 3x3 instead but it was used gear I got for cheap so it is what it is.

My exhaust fan for it is a little USB powered desk fan stuck in the vent on the top that vents right into the room. I just crack the bedroom window if it gets too warm in there. Keeping the humidity up is a bitch if I vented outside. No carbon filter as they're just vegging but you'll want a good one for flowering plants. Exhaust fan noise can be annoying so try to get one with a speed control. Even a 4" inline fan running half speed will be enough for that size tent and would blow a lot more air than my little one. You can get or make a silencer for the fan too. Just a box stuffed with insulation around the fan quiets them a lot. My main grow room in the basement has all the bells and whistles to maintain the environment and where the plants go for flowering.

I have a tendency to over do it. I respect your super mellow approach. It works and will get the job done.
