I've been at it for 20 years steady here so have accumulated way more stuff than I use/need but recall the early days growing under T-12 fluoros in a cardboard box. The little tent I have now is the first one I've owned and I much prefer my grow room downstairs but needed a bit more space for vegging in while flowering down there. I'd like to add a 4x8' tent downstairs but have a wooden support beam in the way that's 3" too low for an 80" tent which is all there is in that size. VivoSun makes one that size that is 72"h but has a hip-roof design I don't like. I need to get off my ass and clean it out down there then just frame in a room that size. I plan to run two 600W Hortilux back to back on my Light Rail to light the whole thing up and use that space just for flowering.I have a tendency to over do it. I respect your super mellow approach. It works and will get the job done.
For me it's just a means to grow decent meds that I share with friends in need and a great hobby that there is so much to learn about and experiments to do that keep it interesting. If I were doing it as a job or for profit I probably wouldn't enjoy it at all. If yields were important I'd go back to DWC and double my output easily. High THC wonderweed doesn't impress me. I want the medical effects and have no use for any strain that doesn't address that issue and I've grown plenty of those.
I'm growing a strain that a buddy across the country sent me clones of a strain called Cherry Noir. He also sent along a 1/4oz of the bud and it is really nice and very different than any other strain I've sampled. Better be special at $550 for 5 or 10 seeds. They don't say on the website or the packs in the pics there so will have to ask him how many seeds he got for his money. He split them with a buddy. I got 4 clones from two different mothers so can make F1 or S1 fem seeds from them.
Growing with LITFA can be hard to do but works. More plants die from too much care than by neglect. LITFA - Leave It The Fuck Alone!
