you can do it, just flow behind a pack and they'll pull you with them. This looks so cool. The route smells like strawberries. I want to do it but not sure if I am ready for 30 miles.

Thanks for the positive inspiration and encouragement. I plan on trying to train for it as much as possible and hope to get the day off work.you can do it, just flow behind a pack and they'll pull you with them.
What? Long travel forks like my Marzocci Bomber were filled with oil and had springs that were longer and compressed over bumps much smoother than short travel versions. They could handle larger bumps without bottoming out, and they did not have super rapid rebound. No pogo effect or bouncy rebounds. Smooth is the key word here. You meant miles? Thought you were referring to the suspension. In Mountain biking It's not the miles in the ride...it's the ride in the miles that count.
yup, short travel is for trail riding and long travel for Enduro downhill type stuff.. Nice fork. What? I bought it new. With a standard fork. No suspension. I had the Marzocci installed. Rock Shox were junk back then. You seem to know a lot about bikes. Not sure why you're puzzled by mine.Nice Bronson, my wife rides a SC 5010 and I ride a RM Thunderbolt Both awesome capable trail/play bikes. Guessing you didn't buy the 89 Bianchi Griz new if it came with a 140mm fork. How do you like the Bronson? Those are 150mm front and rear aren't they?
Thank you. I loved my bike and fork. I'm just old and busy now. I have my bikes still but I just ride em around now. No real trail riding anymore.yup, short travel is for trail riding and long travel for Enduro downhill type stuff.. Nice fork.
Maybe we're not on the same page here. Why do you think I'm puzzled?I bought it new. With a standard fork. No suspension. I had the Marzocci installed. Rock Shox were junk back then. You seem to know a lot about bikes. Not sure why you're puzzled by mine.
yup .. same here, having more fun growing different strains of cannabis right now, I "might" do a little ride tomorrow morning here locally. Been 2 months since the last ride...Thank you. Not you. Sorry. I meant Fishing Farmer..Um Farmer FishingMaybe we're not on the same page here. Why do you think I'm puzzled?
Again, I apologise. Wrong person. You understood what I was saying. Yep, mtn biking was a life changer for me. I always had bikes but they were just a way to get around and yeah they were fun but mtn bikes and trail riding made biking awesome! Like dirt bikes but pedals instead of an engine. I was hooked from the first time I rode a diamond back that wasn't even aggressive at all. I had to have one and I bought a Bianchi Forte a week or two later. I destroyed it unfortunately. Not on purpose, but it just wasn't strong enough. It wasn't enough bike and I learned how to ride in a more protective way too. It wasn't all the bikes fault.Maybe we're not on the same page here. Why do you think I'm puzzled?
Just like bikes and many of the memories I have of them. Ride on!I bought it new. With a standard fork. No suspension. I had the Marzocci installed. Rock Shox were junk back then. You seem to know a lot about bikes. Not sure why you're puzzled by mine.
Too bad it’s all just around Watsonville. Shouldn’t be called Santa Cruz imo. Should still be some killer biking though fo shoThis looks so cool. The route smells like strawberries. I want to do it but not sure if I am ready for 30 miles.

Jump in and ride.. run out out of food or water... stop at a am pm or Starbucks... I've never done that...$100 registration for that bike ride. That seems outlandish. I cant do it. Chocolate covered strawberries and a free t shirt? I can’t see myself fitting in. Lol
Show up and poach it. If they have a place selling t shirts drop a $20 in the jar and say thank you! Done it a million times. Charity rides are happy to get anything from people who show up and ride.$100 registration for that bike ride. That seems outlandish. I cant do it. Chocolate covered strawberries and a free t shirt? You a TRI person or do TTs ? Either way that's a sweet ride!View attachment 5126651
Looks like my racing days are over and I'll probably be putting this up for sale in the next week or so.
I would say that I'm a cyclist that did a few triathlons. No TT's, those folks are at a whole other level. You a TRI person or do TTs ? Either way that's a sweet ride!
I think I will pass. There is another bike ride up in Yreka this weekend and they are only asking $25 and have beer instead or strawberries. I would do that one but it’s over 5 miles north and not gonna drive that far .Show up and poach it. If they have a place selling t shirts drop a $20 in the jar and say thank you!
