How many ounces roughly to make a 9 bar of hash or 250gram?

What method of extraction do you plan on using? Dry sift, water bath, dry ice kief? I would imagine the method of extraction as well as the strains genetics would play heavily into the answer. You'd need a lot less of an Afghan kief plant and a shit ton of a sativa dominant, small headed trich type of plant if you follow me. All that being said, I'll have to wait for someone else to give you a hard answer as I've never done a run that big.

Hopefully someone will be able to give you an idea that has run some bigger numbers, that's a ton of flower to process by dry sift though I know that. I'd sure love to see the finished temple ball or block. Hash is stupidly illegal in my state even though growing is legal, makes no sense. We're lobbying so the law will get fixed next year when they propose retail sales.

They’re originally made Moroccan style I think. Used to come from there anyways, I’m sure they drum it over a screen, so a type of dry sifting.
I’ve just started using a washer for my bubble and yield is up I, I only collect 160-45 micron and just collect it all in one go, don’t bother breaking it down further. But I was seriously surprised at the yield. Didn’t weigh anything as it’s all Percy anyways.
It seems like you get the quality of a nice hand mix without the sore arm, and the yield of a drill or paint whisk without wishing you hadn’t bothered coso it turned out trash.

Each ball is wrapped in celophane, in a jar on a shelf in the basement.

Nice! I had mine in baking paper, in jars in an old turned off fridge. Works ok, paper gets a bit ratty if you open it up a few times though.
Think I’ll swap them to cellophane.

I'm planning on making some hash in the next 7/10 days I've got a 1lb+ to do so I'll note the return %.
I can't remember what I started with last time to get 85g
Some of it is amber
The return is relevant to the starting quality and the amount of washing, with every wash it gets more difficult to extract the resin so you get more leaf matter however some people grind up the bud for maximum return and least amount of work but the quality would suffer if you're a hash connoisseur.

I can understand not wanting a bunch of noobs blasting butane in the kitchen trying to make shatter after watching a YouTube video but banning even the collection and pressing of trichomes makes no sense. I’m quite surprised when I hear of stories from across the pond and it’s worse than here. It’s like I just assume it’s everywhere and everyone’s so cool with it but it’s sad to know that really ain’t the case

What state is this? So they let you grow your own, but no dispensaries? That sounds great to me! I hate all these crappy dispensaries hustling shitty shit! My favorite part of this whole new legal weed era, is teaching fellow patients. My objective is to teach my fellow man how to create everything they have available in dispensaries, but better and cheaper! I love getting to be a Mary Jane Consultant. I feel like her Great Grandson, lol!

I believe that if you keep it in keif form, it'll last longer. Pretty sure I read that in a book called "Trash to Stash" many years ago. I guess these Temple Balls don't actually press it then.

I’ve made a temple ball once and I would probably do it again, I made one from dry sift but I didn’t do it correctly…. so I suppose I didn’t make a temple ball lol. Buuuut I find that the less I mess with it the more terps it retains, I don’t even seive or microplane it. It comes straight out of bags and dried thin on coffee filters in the fridge, after 2 days I break it slightly just by manipulating the paper underneath after 3 days it’s smokable and after 5 its dry n goes in jars which are stored in fridge for quick access or freezer for long term. And my long term is like 3 months max, I wish I could be saving it for Rainy days but I prefer it to flower.
