Hahaha, have to disagree. When growing became legal in mass, every dick, Jane, and Joe schmo started growing. You couldn't drive through many surrounding towns without smelling Sweet Mary Jane on the breeze. He'll, even the idiot neighbors had plants visible from the road.
I think the one thing that saves, and protects me, is that most of my gardens are in a spot surrounded by fences, sumac, much greenery and bittersweet. Kind if a natural barrier.
My point is, I've never had pollination in my gardens even with people growing well within a half mile that probably had no idea what they were doing, and more than likely didn't cull the males.
These wannabe growers probably discovered in short order that growing wasn't the only aspect of cultivation, and most likely failed greatly at curing, ending up with schwag.

I hate those things. Real bad last yr for me cant wait. Are you getting them on your weed? I hope they don’t like weed been only in the veg garden so far

You can see the damage the cucumber beetles did in one day. Also, a slug has a full belly somewhere. Other plants nearby remain untouched. One is doing some weird growth thing. Yellow sticky pads are getting full. Going to replace them and do another surround with the Home Defense, should take care of it.
Nothing works better than constantly monitoring them and the ability to murder them on site. Very satisfying.

Look I want to be not heartless here, I've lost family and friends as well, sometimes humor is an autoresponse to tragedy. It's how many deal with a situation they can't normally deal with.

This was a response to a post about covid, today I woke up to a phone call one of my best friends passed from covid. Completely out of the blue, unexpected. He wasn't feeling good, fell asleep, never woke up.

Starting my grow journal. Started brand April 16th. Had a cold stunt, but things worked out. Will be doing a photo dump and database soon, just wanted to start this off... Few pics from this year and last.

There is a Hemp field a quarter mile down the street from me as the crow flies: I haven’t had any issues with pollination this far, but a lot probably has to do with the fact that my property is approx 8-10 feet higher in elevation and is full of large mature trees.

Oh yea: FINALLY transplanted mine into ground Sunday after tilling the plot Saturday; I believe I got them in ground approximately same time last year, and they ended up being quite large anyway(6-8ft).

I dug a 4ft circumference and ~2.5ft down and amended native soil with heavy amounts of composted cow manure, my own composted soil, and some perlite and Epsoma Organic Garden Tone as well. First time using the Epsoma, but I’ve seen great results with it in other friends’ grows.

Im growing a mix of feminized and regular plants this season:

x1 feminized Mango clone

x1 feminized White Widow

x5 feminized Blueberry Muffin

x5 regular BOG Blue Bubble(Sour Bubble x Blue Kush)

The plan is to cull males but allow cuttings of them to mature inside and selectively pollinate parts of the females. I’m also topping them this year, which will be something new.

No shit? A friend had one in Hatfield, but it wasn't as lucrative as thought. The regs for that are designed for Big Biz
