I don't know enough about the spinosad yet to be 100% comfortable so started with citric acid 5Tbsp/2qt RO water.
Sprayed everything as best as I could with a hand pump sprayer.
Reached up under and sprayed from the bottom up. And then from top down.
Oh damn, I must have misread in a thread.I hope you meant teaspoons instead of tablespoons.
No!Oh damn, I must have misread in a thread.
Nope. I actually meant tablespoons.
Well, this should be interesting
No!
Go spray them down with plain water.
Turn the lights off until the plants are dry.View attachment 5147546View attachment 5147547
Sprayed with plain water to rinse off the misread measurement on my end. Damn, that was a dumbass move
Okay, thanks. Guess we'll find out what she's made of.Turn the lights off until the plants are dry.
That much citric acid is pretty much guaranteed to have killed the mites. Lets hope the plants will be ok.
Got emOne is barely still kicking.edit he's done
I rinsed with straight ro, the tap is about 8.2pH.If the acidity would affect the leafs could he not neutralize with baking soda at a lighter app.Asking for a friend.they transpire quickly I guess
Hell noI rinsed with straight ro, the tap is about 8.2pH.
I've never used baking soda.
Have a recommendation?
1/2 tsp per quartI have some but not sure what amount and don't want to go too far like with the acid
Thank you sir1/2 tsp per quart
For what it's worth put ½ teaspoon of baking soda per quart of RO and it came out to 8.5pH.1/2 tsp per quart
I hope this works out for you but if I'm remembering right 3 tsp per qt browned my pistils fairly bad. I'm glad you went back and rinsed them off.View attachment 5147528View attachment 5147529
