This is where I am seeming to have my issue... the calmag and volume of water and ppm totals... it's just killing me right now.. I may be upping cal mag and or veg feed too fast I think5ml Cal/Mag per gallon and 15ml veg nutes for every 5 gallons or so.........At this stage, I want the ppm around 275-300. If they lighten up too much (not green enough), thats when I'll start adding more nutes to the mix. This strain is hardy and will grow on the taller side if you let it. I'll probably top them at 3-3.5 weeks, let them veg for 5 weekstotal and then do a very heavy defoliation when I switch to flowering.
Remember too, they don't put off a lot of leaves per the breeder, but I've heard that before and still got a ton of leaves under these LED's.
I've seen you say this before... and then they exploded on you haha2 weeks thru veg today....... I’ll probably have to go 5 weeks before switching to flowering g.
When they are young, you want to use as little as possible. Until they can fully utilize it, the extra will just toxify the soil
Agreed... I'm guessing the volume of water uptake is much higher under these than expected? Causing the ability to feed lower??
For sure... I'm starting to finally understand the relationship I think like you said feed more often..or more water volume lower ppm feed less often or less water volume higher ppm... I am seeing that when I feed too high they just stay wet... so I must need to flush it like you said... it's definitely a sign anyway of too high feed.. lol Man that orangegasm!!! It definitely seems like a winner!!It's definitely a function on how often you water...... water more, lower ppm. And water less often, higher ppm. If you remember, last crop I under fertilized early on and the plants looked too light green for 4-5 days. This time I'll be bumping it upwards every couple of days.
Tonight I opened a sealed bag of orange gasm, probably around 5-6 months old. Strong citrus smell as soon as I opened it. It still has some decent moisture in the buds. The buzz is very good, nicely potent, mostly sativa. I can readily see why this was a beloved strain by my friends.
I lowered the lights from 36 inches to 28 inches today.............which is day 17 in veg. The ppm is up to 375-400, pH always at 6.3. I'm watering every 3 days right now.
Looks great man!!! So I know you've mentioned this in previous logs... I wanted to ask in case you've tweaked it... but where do you stay at on humidity during veg? Lower end?Tomorrow I'm going to remove the 2 largest sun leaves on each plant. The 2 leaves below these will probably have to go soon too. This will allow more light to the branches below until flowering begins in about 10 days. And remember, this strain is only supposed to put off minimal leaves......well, they haven't grown under these lights. LOL Check out the red X's for the leaves I mean. I'll still do a major defoliation when the switch is made to flowering. And I still have to top these, maybe in 2-3 days.
