Red/purple stems and mag deficiency with LEDs?

Hey guys. I've been thinking of switching over to LEDs finally, but have been hesitant. Alot of my grow buddies use them, and they all seem to have red/purple stems and some funky mag deficiencies after switching to LED. I'm guessing we're far along enough in the evolution of LEDs for this to be a solved (or at least understood) issue, so just looking for a general update/advice on this. Anyone experience this or know how to prevent it?

I've only used LED's and I've had 1 strain that had noticeably purple stems. It was a sativa auto that was the most delicious smelling and tasting plant to date. No idear if that had anything to do with the stems being so red though.

Just amend your potting mix(assuming peat based) with 1/4 cup of garden lime/10 gallons no magnesium issues

epsom salt should do it.

mag gets locked out because people love pH down

if you pH to 6.5 you won't need epsom salt or any other amendment just your regular old cannabis nutrients

Takes a Lil getting used to for sure. Spectrum, intensity & diffusion are important. White dominant will be tough as will red. Ones makes purple the other red stems. Purple are worse.

I haven't changed any flowers lights to LED yet. I've got one in a little veg/clone tent as an experiment. The recommendations here were all slightly different, so if the issue arises, I'll approach it from a few different angles. I don't do a good job updating threads that have no progress to report. Feels like a waste of a bump and I'm a busy guy.

If you want to succeed right away pm me. Otherwise it can get real difficult getting the wrong or right advice from several different people in the interweb. Half of which will only be repeating what they heard but with a twist. I've got it down to a science if you would like help.

Not as much about the light as it is the rules. Yes, spectrum helps & If his existing light doesn't have what it takes, I'd recommend inexpensively supplementing rather then buying a whole new light. But if you got it like that, this light does make it all so much easier. Sorry bro. I can't mention it here. The threat causes panick, trolling & absolute Baffonery. Not to mention the stealing. The smallest verbage leaked & manufacturers are claiming innovation on their site using the same words, word for word. Yet not understanding any of it. These have only been being released to facilities at the moment & a few documenting public sbs's.
