Hello guys,
I have a small amount of mushroom Liquid Culture, I want to re-use it to make more LC.
Can anyone suggest a method to me?

Regards.

It’s very easy, just make a new lc broth (lme or some sort of sugar, and water), sterilize it, and then add a drop or your lc to it.

that’s it. A week later you’ll have a whole new lc.

Thank you bro.

1. What is Lme?
2. Can I use any kind of sugar, maybe the sugar we put on tea?
3. How much should I add for 1L of water?
4. Sterilizing by putting the lc jar on 15psi for 20min, Right?

Light malt extract.
Karo syrup is popular too. I’m sure regular sugar would work also.

1L will be A TON. I made that mistake my first time lmao.

250ml is perfect unless you’re planning on making like 100lb of spawn at once.

a couple grams of sugar should be fine for .5L-1L it doesn’t take much.

And yeah it will sterilize easily, 20min at 15psi will do it, and you could prob do less time too.

Honey, malt extract, Karo syrup.

you could also use grain/wbs soak water.

People even use water after soaking dog food or potato in it. Basically anything that will work for an agar recipe.

I’ve heard of people using table sugar but never tried it, the mycelium apparently has a tough time breaking it down.

I believe table sugar caramelized too readily. Keep concentrations at or below 4 percent and it will work just fine, no exotic mixtures needed.

But you can add yeast extract, peptones (not meat based) activated charcoal, straw or corn steep and extract of your intended substrate.

250ml distilled water
.5mg LME
5mg Light Karo Syrup

Mix in hot water until disolved. Add to pint jar with modified lid and pressure cook 15lbs for 15 minutes.

Do a google search for liquid culture recipes. You'll find plenty.
