Got the bike today & halfway through assembly I realize it's missing one of the front axle positioner/retainers. She's got backup retaining clamps but I can see it still would be (remotely) possible for the axle to work it's way out (Vewwy Baaadd).
Addmotor apologized profusely but that don't get me riding any sooner.

Let's see what they say in the AM.

Is it the axle bolt or one of the axle lock bolts?

IDK, supplied documentation is less than stellar.

Axle bolt that positions the axle in the center of the forks.
The hub should center that. The axle bolt would bring those two legs together and then the clincher bolts (usually 4) on the fork lock the axle. If you have a hard time getting it from the company you can probably run to a decent bike shop and they should get you going. Those axles are fairly standard......there is a few different ones though. Usually 15-20 mm in diameter and 100mm or 115mm wide. Depending on if it's a "boost" hub or not. Pretty easy....if you need any help let us know.

If you can figure it out they are probably less expensive online compared to a shop.

Why haven't you just made one and avoid the hassle or is that equipment back in AK?

N/M Because you are waiting on customer service. :eyesmoke:

Those are both close, but not quite. Mine has a straight axle that is internally (not externally) threaded on both ends which is where the screws thread into.

This side is assembled.

This side is missing the screw.

The screw that made the trip. (His missing buddy looks similar)

I have never seen a thru axle like that! Can you watch this video below just to make sure. It looks like you're only supposed to have one cap

LOL thats because it's old-school. My old boxer world cup is like that on my old dh bike. You where probably 10 when that was the standard. If @GreatwhiteNorth brings the axle to a good shop they might be able to figure something that'll work. I think there's adapters but I don't know which would work in his situation.
