I'm interested in the flavor verdict too. My first grow I used it without Earth Juice and a handful of EWC in teas ever feeding. That was the smelliest and most flavorful weed I've probably ever had.

I don't know if it was the guano in the EJ, the molasses, or just really active and happy microbes always being spoiled. This experiment will help narrow it down for me.

I was thinking doing a side by side showing how molasses can increase yeilds in cannabis..
I have some stable sour diesel x endless sky cross bx4 in the ground now but they pretty close together so it wouldnt work properly as a fair experiment..
So this fall sometime in the near future ill use clones..

It will be three clones..
1 treated with molasses and nutes
1 just nutes
1 control no nutes just the soil
All will be in the same soil type from the same bag i get it from.
Everything will be documented and if i can get the to work,, videos.. ive had problems trying to get homemade vids on here without putting them on youtube first then linking them here..

I have a 5x5 tent im thinking i may use for this.. i was thinking of using it for some autos but havent decided..
I will put the side by side up here in this section GMG.. im shooting for around the first of november to start it..
People are sceptical about how molasses can increase yeilds anywhere for 10 - 20% I said up to 25% in a post earlier .. ive witnessed this in my own grows in the past..
..
Feel free to add your expierences with it if you like..
This isnt being made for the sake of arguing ..
So if you add to this please keep it in the form of information that can be proven..
Ohhhhhh, I say yes, run with it. I've never had any experience with it, but I find it a curiosity and would welcome a run like that. Yay!

Alot of people fail to realize that molasses is in alot of nutrient lines and has been for years.. the molasses thing was used back in the day with schultz, peters, and miracle gro, before alot of nutrient lines started gearing tward cannabis growers..
I can list off alot of nutrient lines that have it in it now and to use molasses with nutrients that have it you wont realy see alot of improvement..
Ill be using something that doesnt have it in it.. maybe peters..
I saw a seedling kit at Costco one time that caught my eye because it came with a cute little bottle of seedling fertilizer with an artistical logo that said “Fantastical. ever so magical. Plant Fertelixir”
I had to buy it..
I used it on my plants and it was actually decent and I grew some dank with it 4 real however I was very skeptical one day because while it didn’t list molasses on the label it smelled exactly like molasses and was even dark brown and thick just like molasses. Naturally I had to check to taste it to make sure they weren’t just selling me an overpriced bottle of molasses. Luckily I was able to confirm that it was not entirely molasses.

I'd be keen to see if there's any truth In the matter. I'm all for home remedies and cheap feed these days, and if someone else can do my dirty work I'm all in for it lol.

I haven't purchased anything bar $3 slow release for the last few runs, but I found 1L Green Planet Massive Bloom for next to nothing (1:1:2 with enzymes, sugars and triacontanol). I haven't used the massive bloom yet, but being all organic and cheap i might give it a go next run and use less of this slow release. I got 1L for $12, so like six times less in price, and four times the content of canna boost with good reviews. It smells like molasses, sugar and enzymes.

I have plenty of blackstrap here, and I'd love to see what I can get with a weekly feed of liquid compost from the get go and blackstrap during flower.

If I recall correctly I spent like $40 on medium and $200 worth of feed for my first run or two, and the latest run has
used yard dirt, a $3 block of Bunnings Coco as a soil breaker, some perlite and about 30c worth of slow release in each pot.

Due to a more effective eye and. Bit of experience I'm having better luck with yard dirt and $3 Coco believe it or not.

You use unsulfured molasses. ..
Edit: you should use unsulfured..
It depends on composition, buffering compounds and the mineral content of the soil. Sulfured molasses is good when there is an abundance of alkaline or neutral buffers such as calcitic lime leading to a high pH. The sulfur can help lower the pH and aid in uptake.

On the other hand it would acidify a peat based medium with low buffer content.

It's all give and take depending on the sulfur and buffer compound levels of the medium

I'd be interested to see the trial.
I recently just picked up a bottle of Molasses myself and have started to add some occasionally. I'm growing in soil and was under the impression it's used to help maintain a healthy environment for microorganisms, which then boost the quality of the soil. Actually yesterday I gave a feed with the Molasses & gel from an aloe leaf and today I noticed the tips are very slightly yellowing. No cause for concern but unsure which of the two caused it.
