You must be waiting for someone to tell you what you wanna hear. Those calyxes aren’t swollen. The buds in those pictures have 4-5 weeks. You will see All the pistils turn color and appear to be engulfed by the calyxes If you wait.
Partial harvest? That would be a waste. You want a head high get sativa genetics.

I dont think its ripe. I think i might be close to harvest due to the calyxes. They are swollen and i have some amber trichs on sugar leafs.

Lol not at all bro. I in all honesty was doubting about the harvest. I have another northern lights and it it no where close as fat as this one. I feed them equally.
Yes. Indeed they just turned 35 days old bro. I know they are not ripe but i do have 80% cloudy and some amber on A Lot of sugar leaves, i would say around 10%. That is why i was doubtful. Not to mention this is some bomm my friend and i smoked a while back so i have no idea the strain and how long it might take to be ready.
I cut one of the top nugs(the smallest one) and have confirmed that it still needs like 3 weeks.
Dont worry bro. I will not cut this down yet.

Correction..... they are swelling. What makes you think they're done? They may look swollen to you, but they swell more. Amber trichs mean very little, unless all pistils have turned brown, and retracted. Then start looking at trichs. Until then, you have an unripe plant.

I was taught by my grandmother when i was small. Now it kind of comes natural. And thats why i want to practice and learn. Because i love this plant lol

You already chopped one of the main colas regardless if it was the smallest one…
Why would you be checking the trichomes on sugar leaves. Trichomes on any part of the plant would be the last thing I used to determine if the plant was ready.
I’d put money on that this plant gets chopped early.
