Places my order a well for purest indica
To tell you the truth some of gregs stories are quite jumbled up. He had been trading with nevil for a while before sending him the nl lines. The murphys afghan should be a clone an seeds from it made using the same afghan male im sure were called purest indica. Nl#1 is definatly murphys afghan x nevils mazar. I dont think nevil had the purest indica or murphys afghan clone. But who knows, i dont think greg remembers himself clearly. Nevil did collect things from the other nl source the indian aswell. From what I’ve read it sounded like the NL1 seeds that Nevil got from Seattle Greg, there was no mazar in there unless Steve Murphy’s Afghan was a Mazar. didn’t Seattle Greg say he got 4 seeds of a pure Afghan ibl from Steve Murphy.. and then apparently he kept that same pure Afghan line going and then gave seeds of it to Nevil... at least that’s the story from what I’ve read.

^^^So according to what I can piece together from what it says on the Purest Indica sales page, and from listening to Greg’s interview, it sounds like the Purest Indica is different from the NL1, apparently is an ibl of Steve Murphy’s Afghan, the AG sales page even has a pic from Murphy’s book from the 70’s featuring the Afghan.Ok yea I listened to a podcast interview with Seattle Greg where he explains what you’re saying, that NL1 was a Mazar cross, he made it sound like the Northern Lites Crew crossed everything with the purest indica (Murphy’s Afghan) including Nevil’s Mazar, and gave Nevil seeds of all those crosses, so they gave Nevil like 90% of their genetics.. And now apparently (according to AG’s Purest Indica sales page description) after finding a bag of seeds that have been in the freezer for 40 years it has been passed on to Authentic Genetics to be released!
I'm pretty sure Todd said on OG that Mel makes all his seeds himself, seperate from him (Todd)... they pop up every now and then, but sell out pretty fast. I've been waiting for a restock of Mel's Cambodian Red, but there's been no word on anything coming up. Something was put out about a Panama Red line coming up too, supposedly from a good source for old-time Panama... I don't know if Todd's growing those, or Mel, but it might be the main focus right now. What happened to Mel Frank's seeds? I wanted his Durban Poison at some point
I put 6 in papertowel today, gotem todayJust got my Purest Indica seeds in today. Gonna be a little while before I can get to them but I'm excited to have the genetics. Hope to see someone run them on here soon.View attachment 5192239
Your Purest Indica sorta looks like this, and I'm not trying to make money off of anyone:Without a doubt #2. You might want to wait a little bit because I think he's getting ready to release what he's calling #1 from Steve Murphy, which I think NL Seattle Greg called the stinky Afghani. I know he got #2 and #5 from NL Seattle Greg, because Greg has a link to the AG website on his Facebook page. But have absolutely no idea about the origin of his #1.
Even though I'm an old fuck myself, I'm always skeptical when classic, old style landrace types of cannabis that were the building blocks of classic, foundational versions of cannabis suddenly reappear. It's like somebody saying they have the original building blocks of Haze... you're not going to really know what the plants look like, or smelled like, or where they came from unless _you_ were the one who created the original, like NL Seattle Greg.
But then again, maybe I'm just jealous because I had to work for over 20 years to reverse engineer Northern Lights back to its indica, sativa, and hybrid "roots".
As cheap as they are and as low risk as it is to get them these days, just order all three, plant 'em, and see which one works out best for you.
The purest Indica is supposed to be different genetics than the Dutch NL, since it’s supposed to be one of the parents, the Dutch NL from the 90s was supposed to be either a NL1 which Seattle Greg said is a Mazar cross, or it’s also said to be a #2 x #5 maybe depending on which era it’s from according to what I’ve read.Your Purest Indica sorta looks like this, and I'm not trying to make money off of anyone:

I'm glad you used the word supposed, please see my post in the NL thread. Until NL Seattle Greg verifies this whole story, my Bullshit Detector is pegged in the red.The purest Indica is supposed to be different genetics than the Dutch NL
Greg McAllister himself said it was the original afghan that Steven Murphy had given him. And he never shared it with NevilleI'm glad you used the word supposed, please see my post in the NL thread. Until NL Seattle Greg verifies this whole story, my Bullshit Detector is pegged in the red.

Is that your Southeast Lights? I thought you had selectively bred it into a tall sativa?Your Purest Indica sorta looks like this, and I'm not trying to make money off of anyone:

I have multiple type 1 sativa and type 2 Indicas that I'm working with, since I separated them out from Sensi's Northern Lights. That sativa monstrosity you saw in the how do you sativa people do it in a 4x4 is just one of the highly experimental versions that I'm working with. The one pic'd above is one of the type 2 indica's then I'm now cloning. That pic of several months old.Is that your Southeast Lights? I thought you had selectively bred it into a tall sativa?
Or do you have multiple different phenotypes your working with?
Not sure what happened, but none of Mel's beans are on AG anymore. too bad. His GDP is doing fine outdoors, Durban is coming in a bit late for outdoor in my Montana grow. I wrote to Mel looking for some more, but got no reply. Just curious about what's up. Todd's Superglue x Haze also a bit late for outdoors, but anything I got from Todd's NL related strains are working great.I'm pretty sure Todd said on OG that Mel makes all his seeds himself, seperate from him (Todd)... they pop up every now and then, but sell out pretty fast. Fark! Doesn't that look old school! Nice work
