Inexpensive grinder that works

I don't really smoke, but will be in the future at the very least to taste and test my grows. I'm going to pick up a pack of the RAW preroll cones to have on hand and I'd also like to pick up an inexpensive grinder that works well. Any recommendations on one? Any certain ones to definitely steer clear of? Or are they one of those things that it just doesn't matter?

If I was going to use it more often, that would be an option. But I'm only gonna use it sparingly and when I do, enough for a small joint. Just a small manual grinder should be just fine. At least to start out.

Avoid the plastic ones and a pollen catcher is always a nice perk

I've been using my fingers for decades. If the weed is too sticky I'll use my Fiskars. It helps to leave what you're going to roll out to get good and dry. It smokes better as well in my opinion. Chopping up really sticky weed straight from a jar just doesn't seem to burn as evenly as weed that's been sitting out for a little while.

Perfect. I have several pairs of these. I think I'm suffering from the cannabis brain where I thinknthat I need a specialized gadget for every single thing. Haha

I got many pairs, and even grinders.. but there's just something very satisfying about crumbling it up with my thumbnails, even if it rips the skin underneath that's holding them on, after rolling 5 joints in one day..

I prefer my fingers too. I grind with my fingers right into the bowl. So it's fresh everytime. Like coffee, it's best ground immediately before use.

coffee grinder - to large/noisy/violent/uneven coarseness/need electricity

fingers- so much work man. Also now i have sticky fingers. I just want to smoke- now I need to wash my hands before and after I smoke.

grinder- Santa Cruz shredders all the way. Been using the same one for 10 years. Never been cleaned once.

lastly; I personally don’t understand the point of kief Collector partitions on grinders. Mine has one but hear me out. Why do we want a screen that separates out the best part of the material? 2 stage grinders make more sense to me.

@DoubleAtotheRON uses a spice grinder or something I think. Seems like an easy solution. I don't think it grinds as fine as a coffee grinder but can't say for sure.

I don’t know man I like nice coffee. You just don’t get the same results with inferior grinders. I’m sure the cannabis community can appreciate using quality gear for quality results.

Also wtf is a drone motor. It’s a brushless motor for fucks sakes.

Cheap grinders are hit or miss. But if you're not looking for something that will last a lifetime, then I think any cheap grinder will do. Get something with some weight to it if you can.

The collector is cool if you ask me. It separates it ya. But then you can use the best of the best how ever you want. Smoke a bowl of pure kief, layer some on the top of bowls, or whatever.

Ya it takes massive energy and work to grind a bowl with fingers. Takes me a whole 2 seconds and I need to take constant breaks because my hand gets so tired. Then my hands are all sticky and I can't touch anything until I get out the alcohol wipes. It's getting to be too much. I'm probably just gonna quit smoking.

I've tried grinders and I always go back to my fancy rounded tip trim scissors. Coffee grinder for cooking.
