Yo,
Michigan Grow
Getting pumped for the new outdoor season and have picked out my strains for this years grow. Last year was my first outdoor grow so I'm new to the whole outdoor game (I think I like outdoor better then indoor) and was wondering about starting indoor to get a head start then moving outdoors in early May.
Most indoor vegs are under 18-6 or 24-0 light schedule and from what I've read an immediate placement outdoor in spring could cause the plant to start flowering under those light schedules so I'm wondering could I just veg with a light schedule that is closer to the amount of sun they will get outside? Would vegging indoor under like 16-8 or 15-9 work? Would that reduce the chances of them flowering?
I know for indoor flower 12-12 is the norm but does anyone know the limit? would 14-10 induce flowering or is it strictly at the 12-12 mark?
I had planned on popping my seeds mid-March and then outdoor early May in a greenhouse for a week to adjust before I moved them to my grow area.
Anyone think this isn't worth it and I should just wait until spring. Only reason for me to start early is I'm excited and want to get after it and get a solid start.
