Ok.

Statistically I’d put the odds of the light off a surge protector stressing a plant out to the point of becoming a hermaphrodite around 0.001% an that’s if the surge protector is right up under that plant shining hard all night.

However without seeing a full journal of nutrients and training, as well as knowing the genetic line his friend created and the stress it underwent pre cross, I’m willing to admit it’s impossible to know. My best guess would be faulty genetics, I’ve heard of lines going herm and being ruined. Or like dude said, stressing the fuck out of them conditionally.
You think the litteral 1 or 2 lux from the light is going to cause issues?

Studied chemistry in the same way you're an old head?
Hahahaha sweet heart don’t do it again today.

ok ok, I renounce my “old head” title, until Nope_49595933949 so approves it and sets the firm age identification line.

I will now DM Nope_49595933949 before posting any opinions, as de facto master of the state, as well as any henchmen’s requests as so not to upset the infused patriarchy and respected echo chambers of knowledge base. Upon approval I’ll share. Apologies to the original thread poster as well.

What if the power strips wire was coiled up in such a way, and also near... bongsmilie ...other radioactive waves and circuitry in the same room...bongsmilie ..... .... that it creates some kind of cosmic scalar antenna, that somehow modulates wavlengths.. that makes the red light in the power switch..:joint:... flicker ON/OFF at just the right frequency, and sends a monochromatic morse code to the plant, telling it to grow bal.. :eyesmoke:

What we're we talkin about again?

Some varieties require fewer than 12 hrs of light to initiate flowering.
Lengthening the dark period will hasten ripening.
Buds ripen faster when they receive an extra hour of darkness after the first 3-4 weeks of flower.
This is my opinion based on research and experience.

Yeah because less photons = faster ripening budz?

Can you post links to your research which states this?

nonsense

Here is my research proven-
This is 7 weeks
I have posted progress pics every week if you are in doubt.
Try it if you like these results.
If not- don’t.3A2433B5-5BAC-4C00-B273-0E29BB77AE0D.jpeg7A44AECC-D9BE-4BA5-8555-9A05B8D4BFC5.jpeg

So.... plants create food for energy, by converting light energy. Less light = less food/energy for plant processes, like calyx production.

Actually many cannabis varieties will flower under 14.5 hrs light.

It's long, but it'll learn ya.

Cannabis determines when to flower based on the number of hours of uninterrupted darkness. When the plant receives the critical period of uninterrupted darkness- it flowers.
Dark is the trigger.
Not the shorter period of light.
This is my advice to the OP
Some Indicas will trigger at 14.5-
Sativas do better under 12
I go directly to 11.5 light 12.5 dark and drop from there- just like mother nature, when the days are getting shorter very fast late in the season. It is not so controversial if you believe in Mother Nature

When you say "some indicas trigger at 14.5" what you really mean is they trigger at 9.5 since you were discussing the DARK PERIOD being the trigger. Just for clarity

I personally do 11/13 lighting but only to save an hr of electricity each day, not for any benefit to flowering.
