Download the app Photone to measure your par from the light. It might not be perfect but it’ll at least let you get a sense of what power/distance the light should be at. Those plants aren’t happy and increasing the light isn’t gonna help that, it’s just gonna speed up whatever issue they have. If the plants were looking leggy with long distance between nodes (from not enough light), sure turn up the light but right now they look fairy tightly stacked.Plants are looking droopy. Turned light up to 90%.
Are these still under 24 hour lighting??I'm trying to figure out the unhappiness. The plants are dark green/still growing. Tomorrow is week four from seed drop.
Tent temps range between 77.x and 79.x.
RH ranges between 46% (when humidifier is off) and 60.x.
Yes. 24/7 lighting. UnPH'ed water. Are these still under 24 hour lighting??
Just going off the par map posted earlier in this thread and what looks like about the 18 inch hanging height you have and that they say to use for veg. ~900 par in the middle - with 24 hour daylight = 77 DLI or daily light integral (aka waaaaay too much for seedlings). Read this article then turn your light down or raise it up within the tent or both and download that app I told you about if you have a compatible phone.Yes. 24/7 lighting. UnPH'ed water.
Why not go 18/6? Plants do better imo with their rest period.Yes. 24/7 lighting. UnPH'ed water.
I'm in agreement with @Satch12 , no reason to increase the light at this time. If anything I would dim and/or raise it significantly.Plants are looking droopy. Turned light up to 90%.
Agree. The plants were stretching but now seem stocky/stunted."need" more light is if they are stretching and have long internode spacing, which definitely does not apply for you.
- Lowered light power to lowest setting. Is consensus -
- lower light power to lowest setting.
- switch to 18/6 light schedule
- D/L par app and try to get some numbers (post later today)
Are you having temp issues? If you are, you may want to have lights off during the warmest part of the day- Lowered light power to lowest setting.
- 18/6 beginning at Midnight (off between Midnight and 6:00AM).
-read article and will work on PAR app later w/updates to be posted.
Thanks everyone!
In the tent temp has been pretty stable between 77.x°F and 79.x°F. RH fluctuates between 40% and 70% right now.Are you having temp issues? If you are, you may want to have lights off during the warmest part of the day
Personally think the 77-79 temp range is totally fine to get them back into good health, you’ll hear suggestions for higher temps with led’s but if the plants are already stressed I think adding in a heater as another variable is just gonna throw things off further. My two cents. In the tent temp has been pretty stable between 77.x°F and 79.x°F. RH fluctuates between 40% and 70% right now.
The uninsulated basement temp is 62.x°F and doesn't fluctuate. Technically the basement temp is slowly falling as the frost line goes deeper.
The tent needs a heater. The two controllers discussed should be here Friday. The plants will be chilly for 4 nights.
I did have a cheap oil heater from $WMT but the thermostat didn't seem to work right so it was returned. Now with a controller I'll buy a replacement.
