I believe you are intelligent enough to understand the difference between the freedom that Canada takes from their citizens and not allow them to exercise their rights. As opposed to the freedom the United States takes from the citizen.

I remember a rep. party that served as a counter weight to things going to the left field foul pole,that praised family,strong defense and while favoring the rich weren't belligerent to those in need or well earned social sec. benefits,many had genuinely respectful relationships and worked in bi-partisan spirit to move the country forward.Meetings out of chambers were held at Washington restaurants and lounges to iron out deals between the parties.Now,racism,anti immigration,anti social safety net,anti defense,anti govt. agencies and that is the moderate reps.,the far right,outright hate,blatant lies and disinformation peddling and social media death threats.

What's the prob. w/Canada man,they are the most well mannered ,friendly people w/ a great sense of humor one could ask for in a neighbor. They have ALWAYS contributed their share when duty calls. They are interested in the US because as LED says we are a hell of a show to behold.As a very powerful country the US has more on it's plate,that said if I correctly recall Canada was the first country aiding us on 9/11 and I'm sure they'd repeat if called for,just as they can be damn sure that we'd have the Canadian's backs should they ever be in need.
