Tent height and heat using same wattage

It takes less energy to heat a smaller volume of space so yeah, if you run the same wattage in different height tents taking up the same floor space the shorter one will run warmer unless you increase your ventilation/cooling.

Fan isn't your problem
I am not a huge AC infinity groupie and I agree that most of their new stuff is just wrapped in a nice package. They do make nice fans. I think it’s highly unlikely you received two bad fans. I run a 4x4 with a T6 and it never goes over 4. I can kind of hear it then. It’s either venting into the house or the way you have it hooked up. Did I miss pics?

Its venting into another room, through silencer. Frequency starts after a few seconds it settles on 3. Its noticeable at few angles. Saw mentioned that on amazon reviews. It must be bearings/blades/motor. The previous one was humming on other levels. It means they assemble it not precisely. Not gonna buy anything from them in future anymore. Bigger 8" would of course have slower air movement for given cfm but no more gamble with their faulty motors. I dont like the fact that hosing is 147mm when ducting 150mm and you have to squish it with tape and jubilee around. Most of male connectors for this size are 148-149. I played with ducting angles, filter and silencer positions - nothing helps, just motor.
If someone likes his AC inf. fan i dont have anything against that. But their "egg-crate" silencers (normal HVAC silencers are thicker insulation similiar to acoust. duct), lots of marketing, lie in noise level ("total airflow" is low levels dB lol) confrims to me what type of company they are. They cant even provide pressure curves etc which is like basic stuff for HVAC stuff.

Have you tried running the fan by itself without all your ductwork? Set the fan on the tent drop intake hose into it not connected to carbon filter and seal up tent except for one small intake opening. No hose on outake just let it vent into room where you are. See how it pulls and it if makes crazy noises. I guess it is possible they sent you two bad fans back to back. I still think the culprit lies in your ductwork. Good luck

Ok, i detached silencer, filter. Only fan in a box. Motor makes some noise still on 3. It can be heard as i switch it back and forth beetwen 2-4. Its just quieter than air sound that is now louder. It is amplified as soon as carbon filter is present. In my opinion on level 3 rpm its making bearing/blades sound and as soon as carbon creates resistance and there is duct present its amplified as motor is working harder and duct act as as tube in phonograph (oldschool gramophone with tube). Im gonna kill my seedlings. Risk is not worth it for going to jail. 1 year of fighting with fan instead of growing.
Edit. i runned now only fan on level 1 and i listened directly whats going inside. Blades are rattling quietly on this level so as soon as its running faster it changes into frequency . Wtf

Yeah ok,i connected previous one and it rattles even more thats why it was louder humming. It can be bearings. Controller is great, EC motor can be good also. But they fcked full time assembling the blades/bearings. What a dissapointment. I spent 200$ and have two faulty fans lol. At least i learned how to make soundproofing box and gained some skills but too much time, money and expectations wasted.
I recorded videos if they gonna do something about it (probably not). Time for quality fan searching (i didnt saw only controllers that can have speeds scheduled :( )

do you have duckts with silencers they have glass wool inside should give you a few decibels

I contacted them already. I dont really expect them to make me 3rd replacement cause previous one was like really free, it was international and i didnt have to even sent first one back.
As for sono flex that amnezia you mention, yeah it was connected with filter by this stuff, and to silencer on another. Trust me i literally done everything i can, nothing gonna stop it (boxed fan, silencer and acoustic ducting so imagine my annoyance when i put this much work).
Anyone who dont believe its fan problem just read critical reviews of all cloudlines on amazon. Beware anyone looking for something stealthy, peace and happy growing

Terrible whining from these EC motors, compared to the original DC motors. Had to return.

I bought 2 of these units and they had the same problem. If I set the speed to anything more than the level 3 speed I hear a very annoying buzzing/high pitched vibration noise that is intermittent. I'm fairly sure it's not coil whine, but it's really annoying. I can't use this fan in my bedroom. I'd rather have a fan that is louder but only makes a wooshing noise, not this buzzing.

It sucks air much better than expected but mine is loud and vibrates along like blades are unbalanced
Love the design but not quality control

2.0 out of 5 stars Great controller, consumes 50% more power than advertised, harsh noise

This wouldn’t be so bad if it were quiet at comparable power draws, but the fan has a fairly horrible tone to it. The Terrabloom sounds largely like white noise at all but top speed (ours is the 6-speed version), but at setting 3 or above, the ACI fan has a very distinct tone that stands out to the ear, and which only gets worse as the fan is turned up. I captured this with a spectrograph app on my phone; the waterfall display shows a very distinct tone (plus harmonics above it) that stands out strongly above the background air noise, especially as the speed is turned up. "

Those are reviews for 4 inch and last is 8 inch.. more can be found across all sizes. Its just that, shitty fan. My silencer is making airflow so quiet, mdf box greatly isolates vibrations and fan's case noise. If you have open ended / short duct the white noise of air can drown out the frequency a little. But if you improve soundproofing, insulate ducting - you still gonna have loudy tone generator in a room.

I have a s&p silent. Doesnt have all the features of an ac infinity, but is quite quiet.
The only noise i hear is the air moving through the duct even with it dimmed down to a minimum. Smooth wall duct would probably be better, but i am not in an apartment situation or one where i care that much.

I heard mixed reviews, but so you are saying it dont have any motor noise - whine / hum to it ?

None.
Downers are it doesnt come wired or with a dimmer. You will have to do both yourself.
Any sort of control will have to be done with an inkbird or similar controller

I checked first and replacement fan. They vary in specs - first is 64w/0.94a, new is 70 w/0.94a. Old rattles clearly, newer less. I read over the web that other people also noticed big differences in specs. Their S 8-steps controller have DC instead of mine VAC. Seriously wtf is wrong with them. I managed to lessen annoying frequency by adding longer duct beetwen silencer and carbon (strange that silencer picks this motor frequency, i think metal parts easily pick up this motor resonating frequency). It is still present so other components of my system are not the cause. Neverthless not worth the price and they asked if i want 3rd replacement lol, will see after they check full replacement history and if they agree to send another.

So story comes to an end... they dont want to send me 2nd replacement as they concluded that noise is generated by adding filter. If the motor and blades were made good in first place adding resistance wouldnt amplify any frequencies in such a way.
"verall the fan has 5 to 6 speeds, the highest setting produces about 70 dB when installed. Every other setting is varies fairly linearly. What’s fairly annoying about this fan is it has a constant dominant harmonic at 350 Hz. This is enough to vibrant any structure it’s attached to, amplifying the sound. I had to suspend the fan from cables to quiet it down. "
This amazons review is basically it...
I have to increase distance beetwen any silencer, filters joints with fan. If i dont use any soundproofing the airs white noise would drown out motor noise. Best would be to build longer soundproof box so the fans hoses will run through duct that is partially closed in this space. But the soundproofing effect wouldnt be proportionate to money and time invested so im giving up
"Dc powered fans tend to produce less EMI than ac powered fans. " Thats why someone mentioned that their cloudline "S" line are quieter, cause they use DC.
Thx everybody for help, i learned a lot, peace
