As long as you don't get one made during the years that AMF owned Harley, many were crap! 1981 Sportster was one of the worst bikes ever built!I chose Harley Davidson a long time ago because Harley Davidson is a prestigious motorcycle brand known for its quality craftsmanship and durability. They have a unique design and a rich history associated with motorcycles. The culture of the motorcycle community can also be appealing to Harley Davidson owners. Owning a motorcycle from this brand can be rare and exclusive, increasing its value and status.
Looks like my 73´.. still have it.Learned to ride on this:
Before I learned to drive a car. Dad was in the Air Force flying C-141’s, bought the bike in Japan (dirt cheap). Came in 5 small crates, had to assemble it. That bike stuck around the family for years. Rode the hell out of it. Rode several bikes afterwards. Don’t ride anymore but I always renew my motorcycle license to this day.
That’s why my Harley is going up for sale and I’m sticking to the dual sports. I live in the woods so lots of dirt roads and truck trails. And I drove so much with the mindless folks out there I don’t trust them on the bike anymore. Everyone is distracted with their phones these days. So I will stick to the dirtNone because our roads are trash and people drive cars like fuckheads. I stuck to dirtbikes in the trails and always felt safer. My father wanted me to get a bike to ride with him so bad i think he would of payed but never for me. A part of me wishes i did as he left this place early and i didn’t have the chance again
