I have ran this strain from the same supplier a few times now. They have been extremely dependable. They are a 60 day seed to finish green crack. I love them. Fast, hungry and typically 2 to 3 ounces each. I keep notes and feel like I have these down. Well I did anyway..
Typically i plop these right into a 5 gallon pot of ocean forest once they pop. I add a serving of FF dry grow nutes into the soil too. From there on out its just water until preflower then I top dress with a dry FF flower nutes and add about an inch of FFOF on top. Nothing till finish. No pinching, no LST, no bending. Just short, quick single stem colas. Grow after grow these plants have finished 5 days within the 60 day window and pretty much all look the same.
My tap water is somewhat low in PH but being that the time in the pot is so short, the soil buffers the PH w/o showing stress.
anywho, In November i potted up a round with a CBD auto that was expected to finish a tad later. This round the plants seemed to jump out of the pot, growing bigger than I have ever seen the GC autos grow. Multiple stems all strong and tall comparably. Well the CBD came and went. The GC looked like it was suspended in preflower. I had a vacation coming up and these plants were supposed be long done so I rigged up an auto water of sorts and ultimately they suffered a due to extended overwatering. They looked awful. I came home, corrected the issue thought for sure the stress would hurry them along.. They seemed to go back into a bit of veg and put on an additional 6 inches while still somewhat looking like a heavy preflower..
Here we are today, the are very fragrant. Looking recovered for the most part. and still hanging out in a heavy preflower. We are at double the time expected. I know plants are going to take the time they need but this is different - I think. The heavy preflower stage lasting 2 months has me overly concerned.
If I had knew these were going to last longer than 60 days I would have / could have done things differently to keep them in optimal health for the journey. Whats going on?
