What do your local retail fish prices run, just out of curiosity?
I don't eat lots of seafood, unfortunately. Really ought to grill some more in the summer.

Tuna$14.99lb.
Swordfish$12.99lb.
Canadian Salmon Fillet$12.49lb.
Fresh Domestic Cod Fillet$12.99lb.
Fresh Haddock Fillet$10.99lb.
Fresh Greysole Fillet$10.49lb.
Fresh Monkfish Fillet$7.99lb.
Fresh Halibut$20.99lb.
Littlenecks$6.99lb.
Steamers$5.99lb.
Oysters$1.00each
I’d say about the same. It fluctuates though. I’m also not buying the local fresh fish from the docks or anything like that.

Mr Tang started a big pot of deer/moose/beef chilli last night and the house smells amazing. We usually do something big and easy like this on the weekends for camp.

But, now I'm kicking myself for not making Dark Webs sour starter last week when Annie posted her bread pics. Sourdough bread bowls would've been ideal for this chilli.

I use 14% but I like extra chewy bread
I thought it was supposed to make it lighter? :???: I picked up some with 10% that once I change out the oil in my fryer I'm going to attempt doughnuts. I had an epiphany when trying to figure out how to get the right temps for getting dough to rise, I think I'll try using my heat pad for the seedlings for shits and grins. Never know till you try...

Hey bread geeks, Google told me that a high protein flour is better for making breads, hence the bread flour. Is that true?
Yes.

That bacon looks so crispy!

Annoying how in the UK you can’t get bacon that’s like American bacon. Ours usually has more meat so doesn’t crisp as well!
Make it, it's easy.

I would like to try making doughnuts one day.
