A very important step is getting your transplanting soil moist enough. Add 15% volume of water to the soil before transplanting. It helps to do this on a tarpaulin so you can get it evenly moist throughout the soil.Thanks for the info I'm going to have to look more into this and do some more experimenting with transplantation of autos.
Wait until a watering day. Then you transplant. Water the new plant in and wait 5-7 days at least before anymore water. It’s best at this point to give a little water around the edge of the transplant whole as the roots can dry the core out faster than the new soil it’s been transplanted in to. Then after that 1 watering you can water the edges more and build up from there.
