All Bud has it listed as a Hybrid, bred from Pakistani Plants. Which to me says it was bred from at least 2 types of strains native to Pakistan.

They may be only 1 valley apart, but even at that, the microclimates can vary greatly. Same for Nepali, or Afghani weed. There is great variation in IBL from Nepal, and Afghanistan, even from 1 valley, to the next. Its most likely a Hybrid, of 2 IBLs that have been stabilized, which instead of making thm an IBL, they would be an Inbred Stabilized Hybrid.

The story I heard is that Tom Hill directly aquired Pine Tar Kush from Pakistan and Deep Chunk from another indica producing region and kept both lines pure for decades. My friend acquired PTK directly from Mr. Hill about 2000 and IBL'd them himself, before giving them to me 4 years ago.

Nl5 and Pin Tar Kush are both hybrids.

A good landrace Indica would be an

Underground seeds collective Black Afghani.

A good Landrace sativa would be an

AkBeanBrains Durban Poison. This Durban Poison originated from the 80s Super Sativa Seed Club, and was never hybridized. It originally cme from Mel Frank. Most other DP is hybridized. Sensi Seeds version is Hybridized.
Ace Seeds also has a pure Malawi Gold, when its not sold out.

Pure Haze is also a Hybrid, but is heavy on the Colombian Gold genetics.

Authentic Genetics Purest Indica may also be a Land Based Original. Its the basis for all northern Lights strains.
Dagga Gardens has Coastal Seeds Burmese IBL. Theyr dont 1st week of October.

All sounds good mate but technically the black afghani would be an heirloom strain as its been bred out of its region of origin for some time even though its been kept pure to me true landrace is from only the country of origin p1 stock thing is with landrace most folk wouldnt want it what they want is an heirloom like your suggesting as using p1 stock to find good stuff takes time skill and luck why id say few people actually want true landraces im just putting this out there this isnt so much aimed at you as everyone bud i know you been around man i just see so many people mixing up landraces and heirlooms

Trying to find outdoor strains that work in maine is always a crap shoot for 2-3 yrs I grew getaways Pinewarp an R2 with good results but you gotta run them over the winter Then pick out the ones you want an do a reveg to have mothers to clone. Some got pm some got budrot but i have learned alot the last few yrs since then about pm an budrot. All i can say is they are as good as the next breeder selling outdoor strains.I like the run lots of differnt strains last yr i ran Ethos this yr Iam running Humbolt seeds.

His line up has changed a lot last few yrs if they made fems I would try some of his lines I just dont have the time to work thur reg seeds. If he has straight R2 be well worth trying.

Was the early bird not a early skunk selection? or am i mixing this up with a strain sagmartha used to sell under a similiar name

The Vashon Male used is from Unknown Origins, but Im betting it came from the original SSSC Early Bird. I cant prove it, but its fishy it has the same name as the original SSSC gear.

The female is a Vashon Kush which is a combination most likely said to be NL, OG Kush, Hindu Kush, Unknown Afghan Landrace. They also dont state which NL. Im betting NL1. Though I cant prove that. It may be that the original VSM Male has Skunk in it, as its listed as unknown linage, as is the original SSSC Early Bird is listed as a sativa/Indica Hybrid, so it could have Sk in it, but I cant prove that either. But is possible.

I would also speculate the Sagarmatha is from the original Early Bird genetics crossed with a Skunk. They list theirs as Early Bird Skunk. Id say they got their genetics from SSSC stock.

I see i have heard of the m26 never knew it was the same thing as early bird tho fair doos mate you learn something new everyday i know most of sssc s work is numbered also must be a old dutch thing a few of the old breeders used alot of numbers vs names ive noticed like them or kc for example with age for his ones

Alot of their stuff was nevils work or old dutch stuff or both put together. Not really good breeders as most was done for them.

Yeah like basic 5 was nl5 and m8 was skunk#1 etc i know they collected rather than bred most of what they had on offer
