Yep, but it’s worth the ride!

Can’t wait to see what kind of flowers I get from these little ladies this fall…grown all these before and they were winners. Hoping for similar results this year.

Update #2

Dosidos #33 by barneys farm. OG Kush Breath (Girl Scout Cookies pheno) crossed with Face Off OG, then crossed again with Cookies Kush (OG Kush pheno x GSC) the crossed with Gelato #33 (Sherbet x Thin Mint GSC). Buds are heavy and the plant can't really handle the weight of the Buds with its thin stems! But she's staked up.

Leafy at this stage but still very dense and still awhile left on her, although well see with the bud rot

LSD by barneys farm ( skunk#1 x Mazar). This lady is behind the rest but is and absolute monster. She actually split down the middle but she's back in action with grafting tape now.

Looks like a wolf spider very good to have around.

Update 1. Hi all. Some of the main heads and buds came off all of the plants on Friday the 31st march except the LSD. Bud rot was starting to show up after 3 straight days of cold wind and rain. I am at or just shy of 8 weeks which is acceptable for most of these strains but the girl scout cookies and dosidos #33 and to some extent the midnight kush would all have benefited from another week or two - Probably two. It's a shame that I couldn't let the dosidos #33 keep going as it was really started to fill out and swell up into dense heads, never mind my earlier comments of it being a bit leafy. However, I only took the largest most vulnerable heads on the midnight kush, GSC, and dosidos #33 and left the other buds there to continue ripening The smells coming from these plants is amazing

I had some finger hash and can confirm it's psychoactive.Sativa as you'd expect from an earlier harvest, straight in behind the eyes and no tiredness with the hash. Looking forward to proper smoke though.

The girl scout cookies had the most rot, the buds are just so dense. But for the most part it is fine with minimal loss. Any longer and she would have been a mess so I'm glad I pulled the main heads at 8 weeks. She really needed 9 - 10 though but that is ambitious in my climate. I'll take it!

Some ants have also decided to apparently fly onto the resin glands, get high/stuck in the resin and die. I suppose the plants resin protection worked in this case. So I might be smoking an ant here or there but ill get them off when I trim

Dosidos #33

Ive nick named this strain the all american, only due to the fact that this strain is a compilation of great american genetics combined. She also really needed another two weeks minimum to really fill out into the impressive dosidos buds we see in an indoor grow cycle, but it is what it is. Realisticly, I could have let her go a bit more given that she had quite minimal bud rot, but i wasn't keen to trim bud rod out of buds this year Hopefully the smaller flowers I left to ripen will be nice

Update 2. Midnight kush is an 8 week strain but I'd have given her another week as she's still popping hairs fairly hard in some areas but again, I've still got flowers ripening so fingers crossed for no bud rot. The top heads could have gotten bigger but a good amount of brown hairs

LSD is still going and was always behind the others. She's a beast and putting out thick Matt's of white hairs. Some bud rot but very little. I've grown her before and she was very resistant, but I think this pheno is different although well see how the buds compare :)

Started up a tray of pot and peppers.
Couple Cherry GarSeeYa and some crosses I made with Getaway's Stumbleweed, Headband and Blue Cheese.
Mostly for indoor, I'll throw something outside.
Also started up an old pack of Getaway's R2 Poison, haven't tried that one yet. He's calling that Poison Skunk now.

And away we go....

Looking good everybody.

Soaked my seeds the other night and planted in Espoma seed mix in 6-pack deep trays. After running Greenpoint cultivars the past 3 years--finished up the last of the packs I bought during the pandemic lockdown last season--this year I'm excited to explore some new genetics. Going old school: Northern Lights #5 and Pine Tar Kush, two classic indicas that I'm hoping will finish earlier than those Greenpoint sativa hybrids. And, thanks to @thumper60 who gifted me some seeds, a Thumper original of Poison Warp X Goldmine. Have absolutely no idea how that one will turn out but aiming to find out!

Am going all fabric pot this year instead of in the ground. Don't need the high yields and am thinking I may do some cover crops in the MJ garden this year, probably alfalfa. Might take a couple years off there. Fabric pots need more TLC but I like the way you can move those into the shed if things get damp in late flower.

Might try my hand at making some seeds this year, too. Was going to last year but messed up my pollen. Live and learn.

May the weather gods smile on us all in '23.

Got some happy looking plants there. Way ahead of me...planted just before last week's full moon. Everything's come up (still waiting on yours, might take some extra time given those seeds were from a few years back), just seeing the second set of leaves start to emerge on some of them.

Hot for mid-April today here over by Penobscot Bay--think it broke 65. Image things got cooking over your way too. Hope we're not heading for a dry summer this year but it wouldn't surprise me. Need to up my water storage/irrigation game--last year with them hemp the brook dried up and I had to run a few water shuttles to Lake Megunticook with the tank.

Got my first tri-leaf. Does that mean I'll have good luck this year? Never seen that before....must just be an unlikely roll of the genetic dice.

What you using for soil these days?
