Anyone find autos a waste of time?

That's what I do. I run auto or photo depending on outside temps and time of year, My last run was photo Ethos Mandarin Cookies. It was 4 1/2 months though. Being able to cut the lights off for 12 hours made managing the temps doable. I've started doing 20/4 with autos. I did 24/0 forever. The 4 hours seem to rejuvenate them.
I always go 24/0. Maybe i will try and see if a few hours of rest brings any different outcome.

Yeah during the hot summer it might be okay but not during the cold winter months.

Then you got to dick around with a timer....just not sure if it's worth the hassle.

Also when the lights go out, there is a surge is smell which I prefer to avoid since I live in a highrise and don't bother with a charcoal filtre.

Please let us know if you do and what your results are :)

cheers

The roots of an auto , under 20/4 , shorter and more delicate , instantly stop drinking when totally bloomed responsive ,and always worth the quick harvest wait ,unless it was culled early for various reasons.
By the same token, I have noticed that the plants look healthier with 4 hours to rest. I understand you are losing 4 hours of grow time but I look at it as a step backward to take 2 forward. That's just my unscientific observation.

I have done autos at 24/0 ,23/1 ,22/2 ,21/3 ,20/4 ,19/5 ,18/6 ,14/10 ,12/12....all the way to finish potting and DWC , finding 20/4 the healthiest looking plantgrowth set schedule .....also if you have started autos and photos going separately ,autos dont mind finishing a few weeks together under 12/12 as the photos are just starting to bloom well , the autos will finish sooner.....whatever schedule is started its ok to give them less daily light towards harvest that also helps better finishing temps....they like lower temp and more humidity than photos....I use RO water pumped through misters fanned at them spraying for 5-10secs every 30mins, changing to every hour towards finish ,then only 1 time a day spray setting just before lights on...and/or just spray by hand enough to keep them looking sweet.

ive had a few successful harvests but ultimately im not impressed.

I dont find autos enjoyable either they are very underpowered or its cbd hemp.

anytime i have smoke of an auto strain ot just spaces me out but no enjoyable psychoactive effects seems to me to be more a CBD space out .

surely im not the only one . autos are a waste of time and money unless your a breeder
grow auto malawi x nl from ace seeds, potent enough to be worth your time trust me, probably works well in crosses too
