Okay so im having some issues after many years using coco.... i normally buy Canna Products, and have had no issues in the past with Canna's Coco....
recently i went to my local store, only to find no Canna Coco, so i asked the guy what would be the next best thing and he pointed to a bag of PLAGRON Coco with a mixture of 70% coco and 30% perlite.... (i wasn't a fan of changing brands after loving Canna coco so much.... but i needed the coco asap and didnt want to drive elsewhere)
so fast forward to now, i transplanted my 6 week old plants (that were grown from seed) directly into this Plagron Coco, and have noticed after about 2 weeks that growth is slow and plants are looking severely underfed.. i was wondering what the fuck could be the cause, as my PPM's are around 600-700 and my PH is right at 6.0, but then i checked the run-off water, only to find it extemely low... right around PH 4.5-5.0....
I tried to use excessive amounts of my nutrient mix (600-700ppm and 6.0 PH) to flush one of the plants to try and raise the PH within the Coco, but after dumping around 50 Litres onto it without any change whatsoever... i Gave up and decided to try using straight tap water with a PH of 8.0 and had the same outcome, runoff PH was still 4.5-5.0....
TLDR :
Bought a new brand of Coco, now the ph of the runoff is coming out at PH 4.5-5.0, and plants look like theyre suffering..
Nutes used:
Canna Coco A+B at 2ml per Litre
Calmag at 0.5ml per litre
PH is 6.0
Runoff PH is super low at 4.5-5.0 PH, Flushed a 20 litre pot with around 50 litres of nutrient solution and hasnt changed a bit.
unsure what to do...
