How much capital to start a sandwich shop

Ugh. Wish some enterprising individual would open a decent sandwich shop near me. I'd do unspeakable things for a Philly cheese steak or even a simple cheeseburger sub, which apparently don't seem to exist in this section of AZ. No one here even seems to know what a stromboli is. Best we get around here are little roadside stands selling Navajo burgers. Fuck, I miss the East Coast.

I LOVE the idea of spreading "regional" foods to different areas. I think taco trucks would be wildly popular in areas where you can't get good traditional tacos. .. and, i mean, they're not hard to make! Same with the stromboli; could you imagine a stromboli truck??!? --talk about doing unspeakable things  lol!

I haven't had a stromboli, a GOOD pizza or any steak sandwiches since the last time I was in PA, about 4 years ago. "Fry bread" is the only regional food item I've found in this area that I don't hate. If someone around here would start making cheese steaks on fry bread, I'd be their customer for life.
Constantly people setting up little stands along the road selling these things:
They're pretty badass.

Or how to court investors. Hear me out a nautical themed sandwich shop called oceangate, signature sandwich a meatball sub(5 meatballs) called the titanic. I live in a port town so I think it’s a good idea
Do you have restaurant experience? From the ground up restaurant exp I mean? I am in this business and let me tell you it will eat you up if you don’t know what you’re doing….

Years ago I worked in food, for way too long and I can safely say it's my nightmare fuel. That and basically anything that requires consistent daily customer interactions. Yep just somewhere out of sight and out of mind, that's how I like to be. ;):)

People always ask me about opening a food truck, resto and I my answer is always the same. If you’re really serious understand that you will be there all of the time, rare to no vacations, working all the major holidays. However it is a great feeling to be self employed especially as an independent in such a competitive market. Good luck if you go for it!

People romanticize running their own restaurants. Until they actually get down to the nitty-gritty of it. It's not all about social media pics of your plates, or your latest cocktail. And if you're seriously passionate about it, you will never find an employee that cares as much as you. So plan on doing everything that is important to you, yourself.
It's some of the hardest, dirtiest and at times, soul sucking work lol. Never again :bigjoint:

Real talk, first to get there, last to leave lol. Also prepare for that to be your social life, after 12-14 hours at work of talking to people you just want to be alone and not talk at the end of the day lol.

I’m lazy and have a va disability check tf I wanna work for lmao
