CO2 buildup at night in sealed room cause fox tailing?

I know CO2 can cause fox tailing, and I've been turning it down to 800 the last few weeks but after week 6-7 everything starts fox tailing. My lights off CO2 gets pretty high tho, tonight it was 1300 after an hour of dark, it'll get to 2000 before the lights go on again, I just assumed this happens for everyone in a sealed environment, should I be venting the room at night, can night CO2 levels cause foxtails?

Oreos at day 50, it fox tailed like this over the course of about 5 days when I noticed it starting.

I get foxtails, but without co2. Ime, high light intensity, along with genetics, is what causes it.

Yeah I know what can cause fox tailing, I guess I should have gave a little more background, lights have been turned down as well as temps, N is low also. I run 6-8 strains at a time and they all do it, Oreos definitely shouldn't be doing it.

Why is CO2 rising so dramatically during the dark period? Respiration does release CO2 during the dark period but it alone wouldn't elevate to those levels. Is your CO2 controller off at night?

I'm genuinely curious because I run CO2, all data gets logged, and I've never seen any rise in CO2 at night.

Sorry I don't have a source about co2 itself causing foxtails, I've just heard it mentioned a bunch of times by other growers. It's a well sealed room stuffed with plants, you think the co2 shouldn't really rise much still?

Iam scratching my head you pump co2 all night? you should be venting or at least shut down the co2. Also to much co2 late in flower can slow down flowers from getting ripe.

No, the co2 is on a controller with photosensor, so at lights off it stops, but it'll continue to buildup during the dark hours, I know they give off co2 during lights off so I assume that's why I get the co2 build up.

I can't find anything that says CO2 contributes to foxtailing. It's usually a stress response (heat or light intensity), sometimes it's genetic. Now you do run hotter temps and more intense light in CO2 grows, but I dont think that CO2 is the cause, it's the conditions you grow in when using CO2..

Why are you running co2 in the dark period anyway they only use that shit when lights are on co2 has no benefit in the dark cycle same reason the plants don't really take up any nutrients any energy or use of anything beneficial happen when lights are on all of the energy taken in from the leaves and co2 is then stored and used in the dark period hence buds getting bigger at night it doesn't grow in the day period its the night period so if I were you I would save my co2 and put the while system on a timer to only send out co2 during lights on so it can actually get the use out of it rather than wasting it hope this helps good luck

That's why your levels are rising so much at dark period because the plant needs light and co2 to photosynthesise together no point running one without the other like trying to use your TV remote with no batteries in it m8 pointless

Ah sorry I see it now sorry I missed that message, yeah everything is reversed at night the plants take in oxygen and release co2 instead so that explains the build up but it's way way more than it should be that's weird and I hope you get to the bottom of it

Only thing I can think of is lower the intake on a speed controller set it too half the amount and run exaust at 100% see of that helps but now thinking aren't you running a sealed room if so thus lies the problem maybe not enough air- exchange

Yeah, usually turn it down to 800 because that's what a few friends of mine do. They don't get as much buildup as I do however, but they're in a commercial setting and I have a room built out in a basement, so I probably have a lot more biomass per cubic foot of room space.
