The smell did not carry on to the next generation, there smelly but but not the skunk smelly will have to wait till there finished to really know if any skunk smell is there. Will have to back up and treat the seeds the same as the first ones and try again.
There at one point was some nasty phenos in his lines but it aint proper straight up rks imo more weird mushroom skunk tasting stuff vs proper full on skunky skunk ime

Im with you terps can change that way the uk cheese cut tastes less cheesey more generic skunky when done outside yet inside its more cheesy tasting and smelling theres obviously differences due to the light be my guess as u know the sun throws light and full spectrum like no lamp can yet
It had lost its skunk smell during flowering indoors. Ruled out ammonium sulfate fertilizer as a cause of skunk smell and it is killing some during second gen run.
Interesting as the skunk classic is technically a bx1 to the Colombian gold side i tried it long ago but never found anything special myself i tend to think the lumbo side of things is where the catpiss stuff comes from in skunk1 and 2 as its in some hazes too nevil always said inbreed haze and you will find many catpiss type phenos im smoking one rn as it happens but thats from old skunk lines that relate to the skunk#2 lines from holland way back i dont think anywhere will have viable flying dutchmen stock your only hope is that some grower got some stashed or kept a cut or something id say10 years ago during my second grow I found a super awesome skunk pheno from a pack of Flying Dutchmen Skunk Classic. I didnt clone it cause I didnt know that these phenos are far and few between, I thought all the seeds will smell like that but I was wrong. The smoke on that bud instantly made me sweat and actually if I smoked too much it felt uncomfortable almost like eating way too much RSO. I bought a pack from Cannabis Seed Outlet UK, it was the last pack I could find on the web from reputable sellers. I tried to pop those seeds a couple weeks ago and nothing germed. I tried literally everything. Now they are discontinued and you cant find their gear anywhere. I see it on some sites but they dont seem legit. If anyone can find a reputable seed bank that sells Flying Dutchemen Skunk Classic then please let me know.
To me Lumbo x afghani would make more sense i have heard many speculate mexi x ghani too sam said that it was originally c gold x mazar inbred twice before the introduction of the mexi Acapulco gold when he made skunk#1 as well so who knows but straight Colombian gold isnt skunky alone also on a side note theres two Santa marta golds btw theres the one used in skunk thats the very sativa and long flowering and super rare now in pure form that is the one most know of and theres another faster flowering one used in things like seedmans sugar haze thats supposed to be more like a indica type hybrid almost to confuse it further lol
i know what your saying. i assumed the stuff we had was skunk 1. because it was straight skunk. no sweet no rubber etc. but i recently asked the woman who sent us the seeds , and she said it was columbian gold.
and as far as the afghani, we had numerous guys gift us different clones of ghani at the time we had the skunk. they werent even close to the same type. tall skunky and long flower vs shorter plant sweeter earthyer flavors and shorter flower times. the indoor guys had the skunk in northern maine and the outside guys ran the ghani crosses .
Fair doos mate i get what u mean however theres so many different afghani lines and some stink bad tbh afghans and the like are responsible for most loud cannabis somewhere along the line least in hybrids anyway ime there are sweet ghanis earthy spicy hashy piney lemoney etc but theres also fuelly or rubbery or skunky or even shit smelling ones etc too theres alot of variation my experience is different a lil from you i guess man Colombian gold ime is lemony kind of with a lil woody bit to it at the back end but thats my perception ig

haha . My Buddy Z's Moms gave me his saved seeds , but when I soak the water gets milky , did 2 runs w/ 2- different batches . I have them soaking paper towels .
