Sunshine Mix is not a coco based product where you need to water them multiple times per day. SM #4 is a peat based product containing all the same shit as the Pro-Mix - except for the Resilience which is a silica additive. Pro Mix does not contain any silica additive

SM has a similar offering as well cause Pro-Mix sells their HP/CC product which is still their peat based High Porosity with ~20% chunk coir.
You'd have to ask them that. I have no clue. But I've used it and liked it. It held moisture more than the standard coco pith that I moved to in approximately 2014 (Canna Coco). I'm looking forward to giving the new Botanicare Coco a try because my local grow shop stopped carrying the Canna.
For the environmental sustainability of the peat bogs. Additives like coir will help to reduce the amount of new peat that's vacuumed up from the peatlands on a yearly basis.
I just used a brick of this when I up potted the plants in my 4x4. I will continue to use it. Price is good and it expanded great.
I think the camera adds extra zips. Haha. When I look in person, it just doesn't seem to be chonkin at all, but in pics, she looks girthy.

Ah, gotcha. I want to get these things dialed in to get the constant drip that keeps the coco saturated, but doesn't fill the tray.
