Watering?

Do you know of something similar for PH down?
phosphoric acid just be extremely careful with these products. You can order pure stuff off Amazon and make your own diluted version, just remember to always dilute it in a suitable container with water and always clean containers super good and add water first, then the chemical.

The reason you would probably need to find a dilution that works for you is if you don't dilute it will react with your nutrients. Also important to always ph adjust after you've already mixed all your fertilizers/additives etc.

Bugs aren't from overwatering they either are from a non-sealed grow setup or contaminated soil where eggs were laid and when you water it zoom zoom they come flying. I hate Fox Farms with a passion because I used to battle fungus gnats for about a year then I switched to coco and barely ever see them now.

Might sound crazy but I run a sterile coco grow. 15 gallon pots of coco, General Hydroponics MaxiGro/MaxiBloom (all you need, no other bottles or nutes for big happy plants). 6.0 pH start to finish for me personally, some guys run 5.8 in coco but I think it is too risky with my larger size pots cause I'm watering 2.5 gallons per/day in 4 spaced out intervals each day using 8 0.3 gph Netafim Drippers per 15 gal pot.

My coco for the most part is always saturated with nutrient solution, I feed normal strength through veg with dimmed lights, then move to flower full power nutrients and lights, I get roughly 5% runoff 4x a day with fresh 2.0 EC 6.0 MaxiBloom solution. Once a week its good to either feed them with very heavy runoff or just plain water light runoff to balance out nutrients/salts/ph.

80 °F / 60% RH / ~1200 PPM Co2 / ~1200 PPFD (GC 720w LEDs)

Yeah i agree over watering can make the situation worse but the eggs/insects gotta be there in the first place to cause an issue

@Oldguyrealy your son needs to shut up and learn he clearly lacks your knowledge tell him he lucky his dad grows and is willing to show him the way idk how folk can cut early either after you get it right the first time and that should show you its like night and day in yield and effect early vs proper ripe imo theres no competition as for watering amount theres also the fact some strains need more water than others weed isnt just weed things vary sounds like he could do with a intro to riu if he wont listen to you

Sounds like the blind leading the blind! I water around 8 litres per plant each day spread out over 4 waterings (coco DTW, 3-gallon fabric pots) never really feed much more than 1.3 Ec - 5.9 - 6.2 PH in full flower, GH Trio, and drop the EC after they are 6 weeks old, 8-9 week strain. Plenty of air movement 28 c temps (lights on) and try to follow the VDP chart for humidity when I can.

Ok I read on using Coco it sounds the same as Sunshine 4 which I have. This is why so many likes Sunshine 4.

Thing is both say water until run off.

From what I gather just start out with Coco or Sunshine 4, feed at first with your water, just water good but not run off???

I can go ahead and start seed it just Sunshine 4 without any Nukes?

From what I was reading take care of Marijuana like you would something succulent?

For the bugs get the yellow sticky pad and put them top of soil and around the room lightish level. Please don;t listen to anyone telling you to put fake ph crap in your grow that is green and looks good. To keep knats at min get used to a normal water schedule that includes lifting the pot and when it;s light vs heavy from water its time to water. These plants are weeds and weeds like to get dry before water. The comparision is to look at a yard that has weeds and grass note the weeds grow happy when water is restricted but not to the point of leaves dropping. soil if you put a spoon full of lime in the original mix will be plenty for an annual plant of 10 weeks in flower. DO NOT listen to these newbies that tell you to put crap fake ph adusting nonsense in your green happy plants. real growers do not use ph adjusting fake crap in good soil. IF its soil. IF hyrdo I have not comment.

Well one problem I can't lift my Pots. Because they turn over. Water is a different matter I can do it with one Arm.

you have a problem. I use Air pots. Many tests and easily reused make at least 25 percent better yields. They are majic to plants.

Oh I've been using Fiber Pots. Get through with a grow shake them out and into the washer.

I keep my Tents closed this is why I think I get Gnats from another source but my Son uses my soil. So.

My 5 gallon pots indoors in mid flower, 4 week veg, 1.5 gallons once a week on average. Sometimes more sometimes less but thats an average
Fungus Gnats are easy, put 1 1/2 inches of cheap old play sand on top of soil. You can also put DE under the sand and that will chop them up.

Do you have to replace after watering?
