So it's not that the plants need that much you just don't have your timers set properly? When you're pushing out over 8 gallons, how much runoff is draining out? I use around a pint per plant per day in gallon pots.
Its fine the way it is, its the tray of 4 plants of 1 gallon and one 2 gallon that have halos that are too pinched as they are tighter circles than the 6” halos which are barely ok enough to use but tighter than 6”, it kinks.
I found myself that it is true, the hose to plants was kinked and the hole line quit working so it surely is the reason as someone said. Said to use 1/4” tubing if to make diy halos. I need to buy pots sized just for store bought halos or flora flex drip plate for better coverage. I got some mold growing on top surface of one pot.
So the tray of 4 plants need one 400gph pump and 800gph. No other configuration works. So dialing these in were the hardest. I run the 2 three gallon pots for 1 min 30 sec with runoff until it is dripping all the way around pot. The runoff is only running for like 20 seconds or less.
The tray of 4 plants run for 1 minute which is only 15 seconds over flow due to timer running in minutes. The other timer does run seconds which is used in a configuration to have minimal solution wasted. The 4 plants only have the 1 gallons running off more than needed to compensate the one 2 gallon on there.
Ugh if I have to explain all that, it aint right, I know. Heres where things get better, in 2 weeks I chop two plants and setup veg tent and separate/disperse the 4 plants so 3 remain to have their own tent and reservoir so the flower tent will run very decent. The remaining plants I need redo the halos unless 1 pump can handle all 3 plants which that 4th one will have its own 100gph pump and its own space.
Its going be pita for a bit until I figure that out and just redo the halos and set things up more evenly with same size pots and halos working properly.
