Like Trump, Rudy is ashamed that he is broke?

Judge penalizes Giuliani for ‘continued and flagrant’ disregard of court order in 5-page ruling
A judge presiding over Rudy Giuliani’s damages trial penalized the lawyer Friday for his “continued and flagrant” disregard of court order.
U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell said the decision means jurors will be told that Giuliani intentionally hid financial documents and other records in defiance of court orders.

“Giuliani’s continued and flagrant disregard of this Court’s August 30 Order that he produce financial-related documents concerning his personal and his businesses’ past and present assets, revenues, income, viewership metrics, and social media, all of which information is potentially pertinent at the upcoming damages trial,” Howell wrote.

Howell ruled in August that Giuliani is legally liable for defaming Georgia election workers in attempts to further false claims that former President Donald Trump won the 2020 election.

In his release Friday, Howell said Giuliani, “consistent with his prior track record,” has failed to file any response to the submission of materials, despite the Sept. 22 deadline to do so.

Since the former Mayor of New York City failed to comply with the order or file an opposition, Howell ruled the jury must infer that Giuliani was intentionally trying to hide information about his businesses and social media when determining the “appropriate sum” of damages.
The Judge also said the jury will be instructed to infer that Giuliani received “substantial benefits” for defaming the election workers and that the Giuliani businesses “continue to generate” revenue from their operations.

The order makes it clear that Giuliani and his counsel will not be able to make an argument or introduce any evidence related to his financial benefits. He also will not be able to state or suggest that he is “insolvent, bankrupt, judgment proof, or otherwise unable to defend himself, comply with this Court’s orders, or satisfy and eventual judgement.

The five-page ruling was released Friday, ahead of the scheduled Dec. 11 trial.

our youngest four-letter word: Republicans

Why should they support a bunch of lunatics, fascists and traitors? Only for the good of the country and sometimes that is hard to discern when dealing with this bunch of miscreants and making deals with the Devil. The democrats only need 6 people from the other side and the more they fuck up the harder it will be on the moderates from swing districts. One big obstacle to compromise is Trump and his army of morons, being primaried would be the least of their worries if they crossed over and made Jefferies the speaker. When Santos goes away it will be down to 5 brave souls to make the move or stay on the crazy train until it goes off the rails completely. When Trump goes away a lot of heat will be off of them, there will be no God like voice controlling the mob of miscreants.

16 looks good to me.
When I was 16 I worked on the Frank-O-Matic machine at Fletcher's meats in Vancouver and it was right next to the 'blender' where the tobacco juice spitting old German guy mixed the 2-ton load of goo that went into the casings. I still can't eat cheap dogs to this day. I go to a real butcher and get some bison smokies then pick up some whole wheat cheese sub buns then go home and make something edible out of it. Much horse radish involved along with ample chopped onion and many hot banana pepper rings. A good dose of Meta Mucil to wash it down and all is well in my world. :)

It must be 40 years ago a Taco Bell opened in Abbotsford, BC and a bunch of us on a pub crawl ran thru the drive-thru and got tacos to scare away the munchies. All 6 of us had the shits for 3 days after so never again. I love good Mexican food and Taco Bell ain't even food much less Mexican. It's like calling a Big Mac a burger FFS. That's something else I haven't had to survive from for over 40 years. When my kids were small and M'dee's hockey cards were all the rage we'd eat at a real restaurant down the road then stop at McPukes for hot apple pies then buy the cards They built up pretty good collections and I still have them all here along with all the Pokey Man stuff etc. They will put the shine on my golden years. :)

I don't care where you go all fast food joints are crap. Everything sweet at Dairy Queen is high fructose corn syrup.

Tip for Canadians. If you still miss the old Tim Hortons coffee get it at Mickey Dee's. When Wendy's sold Timmies to a South American company they didn't renew the coffee contract when it came due and subbed in SA coffee. McDee's grabbed up that contract so get your coffee there then GTFO. Grab your donuts at a local bakery if you swing that way. Tims is f'n garbage since Wendy's bought it and hasn't got any better.

If they want to be used as toilet paper, then elect Jordan because he will abuse his office for himself and Trump. Gym is worried about being entangled in J6 and I figure he's one rat and deal away from being indicted himself, who knows who was in a meeting with Gym and will need a deal. As speaker Gym would bring down the government or bankrupt it to get himself off, he doesn't know what Jack has on him, but he is guilty as sin and knows why he wanted a pardon.

BREAKING: Republican House Speaker candidate Jim Jordan gets devastating news as multiple House Republicans threaten to skip the speaker vote that he’s trying to force — which will allow Hakeem Jeffries to win and become the House Speaker.

But it gets even WORSE for Jim Jordan…

A Republican Congressman told a reporter, “What happens when Jordan forces us to the floor to try to pressure us and all of a sudden we don’t show up and Hakeem Jeffries is speaker cause he wanted to be a bully?”

Adding insult to injury for Jordan, several moderate Republicans told CBS news today that “they would oppose his candidacy,” leaving Jordan’s bid to be speaker in “grave doubt.”

This is brutal news for Jordan, because he can’t afford to lose just FIVE votes — whether they vote for someone else or they simply don’t show up to vote at all.

If that happens, which is now becoming a real possibility, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries will become House Speaker Hakeem Jeffries — and today’s Republican majority will go down in history as the most embarrassing, dysfunctional majority in the history of the U.S. Congress.

Trumper Jim Jordan thought that being elected speaker would be a cakewalk, but now it appears that it may backfire in the most spectacular way imaginable.

The republicans are auto selecting antisocial assholes and electing them to office, and they can't function as a cohesive social unit. Trump lurks in the background and any republican defectors would be attacked by him and face death threats. What court orders? Locking him up might solve the issue in the house and there is plenty of just cause to do it. If Jefferies ended up as speaker Trump would freak out for sure as would his base of lunatics, those who crossed over would be toast during the primaries, but if Jordan became speaker they would lose the general election anyway, a lose, lose situation.

As speaker Gym would lead the J6 riot style charge of house republicans up the courthouse steps in DC during Trump's trial! Die for Donald on the courthouse steps or you're a RINO!

Tapper shuts down Haley blaming Biden for House not having Speaker
CNN’s Jake Tapper shut down GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley for blaming President Biden for the House being unable to elect a new Republican Speaker after Kevin McCarthy’s unprecedented ouster.

Tapper asked Haley on “State of the Union” if Rep. Austin Scott’s (R-Ga.) remarks on the House Speakership election were accurate when he said the Speaker-less House makes the Republicans “look like a bunch of idiots.” Haley began her response by criticizing the Biden administration before Tapper jumped in to interrupt, saying that the turmoil in Congress was not at the hands of the president.

“Well, I’ll tell you what’s right is. Under the Biden administration, we’ve seen chaos within —” she said before Tapper interjected.
“You can’t blame that on Biden. You can’t blame this on Biden,” Tapper said.

“Well, you have to let me finish,” Haley said. “We have seen chaos with inflation. We’ve seen chaos with the lack of transparency in education. We’ve seen chaos on the border. We’ve seen chaos with crime on the streets, and now we’re seeing chaos around the world.”

“What I’m saying is you can’t fix Democrat chaos with Republican chaos. They need to get it together. They need to get in a room and figure out who this is going to be and come out unified. That’s what Republicans need to do. This is not a good look. This is not good for our country. We saw what happened to Israel when they were distracted,” she continued.

The House voted to oust McCarthy (R-Calif.) from the top leadership post nearly two weeks ago. Since then, the House has been in disarray as House Republicans struggle to come to a consensus on who their new leader should be.

After Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) took his name out of the running last week after the GOP conference voted to nominate him, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) was put forward by the conference. It’s unclear whether he would have enough support on the House floor to be elected as Speaker.

If it wasn't for the death threats Jeffries would be speaker, if a half dozen republicans crossed over, they would be committing political suicide in their primaries packed full of fanatics. Trump would attack them as traitors and the death threats would follow. What court order? It doesn't cover shutting down the US government and intimidating members of congress!

Looks like it's not just Hilary having babies cooked for lunch!

Imagine what he will be like if he is disqualified and another republican "steals" his place on top of the elephant. It will be all out war on the GOP nominee, except by the time they pick one Donald will be in jail and muzzled as a federal convict. He will have to settle for endorsing one of them who promises to pardon him and spring him from state prison too! Before that happens though, he will try to make the GOP house members storm the courthouse where his trial will not be going well for in March. Even if he is disqualified from running, he will still command 30% of the GOP base and his word is law. His problem after conviction, will be getting his message out, especially if he is disqualified from running in the primaries.

If the SCOTUS doesn't disqualify him in December, hold on tight because it will be one Helluva ride until election day with Trump in absolute control of the republican party and republican house, even from inside a prison cell. The SCOTUS would be in for a Helluva ride too, if they don't disqualify him and it might be a literally fatal decision for them with either a constitutional crises or Trump gaining power and snuffing out the dumb bastards. If a secretary of state disqualifies Trump from the primaries and the SCOTUS disagreed, without a very good reason, then they could demand the 2/3s majority from both houses for reinstatement. It would be a constitutional crisis of the first order and rip the country apart, because there is no way some people will allow Trump to run in the face of the 14th amendment and it might amount to a majority of the country.
